I was a kid during the street skating surge and was the only freestyle skater out of all my friends. So glad to see freestyle alive and gaining more popularity

I basically sponsored my little brother for years when he was younger. I've always been intrigued by the entire skateboard culture, especially when I was a kid. That was back in the 70s. I'm 53 now and for some odd reason, I'm wanting to learn to skate. However, not sure it's such a great idea.
You’ll definitely have the weigh the risks but I love it. Freestyle involves a lot less risk and has a wonderful community
@@mike_osterman1 Thanks! I grew up on guys like Alva so I carried that over to getting my lil brother involved in the 90s. When I see Alva still skating, it’s inspiring.
Dude this was awesome. As a new rider I'm trying to figure out what to do and how to practice more stability. Cant wait to go tomorrow to some courts and try these out. Keep these coming they will get views I can sense it :)
Monster walks are the hardest now I know cause I'm on the court today tik taks where not too hard but, tiring as fuck though:)
But for real monster walks feel like I'm going to dive and smash my face. Finding that balance point is hella hard right now. But practice makes perfect thanks again mike!!

You sneak all 6 of the fundamental skills into tricks that are fun and safe for beginners. This is a great study in skills-based coaching. I look forward to playing with these until I feel like I'm ready for more!

Omg i loved how you explained the tic-tacs leading into space walks... like "YeEeEee this is eaaasy" while extremely overdoing the tic-tacs xD
Finally got into 3/4 of a setup! Lets see whats all the Hype is about , I do have a handful of freestyle tricks , using a Popsicle set up shaved and flush with the Axle bolts .I was advised that its easier with these set ups. Just waiting on the special trucks .

awhaha dude the monster walk on a 8' street board is tough :'DD esp cus im like 4'11 basically doing a split when putting feet on both tail and nose ahaha
That has more to do with your board’s wheel base than your board’s width. You might find it easier on a freestyle board

What's the version of walk Called where you don't change the direction you pivot. Like the monster walk but you always turn frontside or backside?

Do it! I'm mostly a park skater, but I still try and incorporate freestyle tricks and footwork into my lines. It adds variety and helps make your style unique among those around you.
Can you do these on a traditional popsicle deck shape what's the actual benefits of using your shape vs my traditional popsicle deck shape seriously asking I'm china get into freestyle skateboarding
How tight of trucks do you use when doing freestyle?
I got back on my skate for the first time in almost 20 years this week and want to learn a little freestyle. When I'm learning street atm I have fairly loose trucks,is that bad for freestyle?

Hey Mike just a quick question..I have a street skateboard can I learn freestyle in a street skateboard?
You can learn freestyle on a street skate no problem. You might want to get freestyle wheels once you start learning primo stand, but the board itself will be fine :)
I visited Waltz Skateboarding today to shop for a complete and was very sad to only see the parts to the boards. Do you not sell completes?

I know that you have a business to run, and would prefer me buy one of your boards with the hand and eye on it….
But real talk I’m on a budget and very impatient….
Finding completes for these types of boards is VERY difficult.
I know nothing about them, but want to know EVERYTHING.
I refuse to go to my grave before learning how to pogo, dance in rail stance, and primo slide.
