I've always "known" that something was wrong with me. When I was really shy as a child, it was something wrong with me. I didn't make friends as easily as others? Because something is wrong with me. Didn't have a boyfriend? Because something is wrong with me...all through my life I always had that voice in the back of my mind telling me that something was wrong with me. I realized a few years ago that it went back to growing up with one of my mom's favourite phrases- "What is wrong with you?!" Every time I did or said something wrong or incorrect, that's what she said. I am still working on unwind that tape and I'm almost 40😢

Good for you. My childhood was similar. There is nothing wrong with us. We are perfect the way we are. ❤😊

The funny thing is, the voice in your head is not you.
It's just a program that we learned as children.

@@mrj1299 💯 I think I heard it on one of Mr Mylett's interviews - "the messages you hear as a child become your inner voice as an adult", and since then I've been working on hearing what I say to myself, and tracing those words back to their origins in my childhood.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🧠 *Your external words can become a child's internal dialogue, affecting their self-belief.*
01:10 🔄 *Your identity influences your behavior, and changing behavior is challenging when it conflicts with your identity.*
03:28 🧠 *Align your beliefs, values, capabilities, behaviors, and environment for natural superpowers and success.*
05:48 📚 *Tips for remembering names: Believe, Exercise, Say, Use, Ask, Visualize, End (B.E. S.U.A.V.E.).*
15:27 🔄 *Change your life's algorithm by intentionally selecting what you consume and focusing on what truly matters.*
19:18 🚀 *Building self-confidence involves keeping the promises you make to yourself and acknowledging your achievements.*
26:08 🧠 *Self-doubt and negative thoughts about oneself often stem from external sources, not original thoughts.*
32:52 🎯 *Scratch negative thoughts like a broken record and acknowledge them to minimize their impact.*
35:13 🏆 *Your self-worth isn't defined by possessions or accomplishments; it's about doing something great with your life.*
37:46 💬 *Don't let what other people say about you, good or bad, dictate your self-confidence or self-doubt.*
38:27 💪 *Self-esteem and self-confidence should not rely on external validation like social media likes or comments.*
39:06 🌟 *You are not defined by your appearance; your true essence lies in your character, intentions, and contributions.*
41:10 🏋️ *Movement and physical posture can influence self-confidence positively, so maintain an upright and active stance.*
43:59 💭 *Positive self-talk and affirmations can help build self-confidence by reinforcing your intentions and character.*
46:28 💪 *Believing in your worthiness to win and being willing to outwork others can boost self-confidence in achieving your goals.*
58:54 🧠 *Negative thinking can be significantly more powerful than positive thinking, and speaking negative thoughts out loud can amplify their impact.*
01:04:10 🤔 *The consumption of negativity, such as excessive news consumption, can have detrimental effects on your mental well-being and decision-making.*
01:14:29 ⚾️ *Speaking negative thoughts aloud can potentially influence outcomes, as seen in the case of Bill Buckner's verbalized fear before a critical baseball error.*
01:17:40 🔄 *Eliminating negative thinking and behaviors is the first step, but neutral thinking, maintaining a neutral mental state, can be a powerful tool for achieving success.*
01:18:07 📚 *The importance of using stories and anecdotes to convey and reinforce key lessons and concepts.*
01:18:47 🧠 *The power of mindset: A story about a man who talked himself into dying highlights the influence of one's thoughts on their life outcomes.*
01:19:40 🧠 *Standardized tests and expectations: A low SAT score didn't deter someone from succeeding; it's how they changed their behavior that made the difference.*
01:23:24 🧠 *Neutral thinking: Embracing neutral thinking allows you to accept the past as real without letting it dictate your future, building self-trust and confidence.*
01:26:32 🧠 *Thought stacking and behavior adjustment: Negative thinking can lead to a cascade of negative thoughts, affecting your productivity and success.*
01:37:55 🧠 *Commitment and attitude: Successful people like Russell Wilson, Mike Trout, and Nick Saban share a commitment to their goals and a unique attitude that sets them apart.*
01:39:33 🏈 *Nick Saban excels in leadership by understanding where he's strong and where he can improve. He seeks advice from experts in various fields and maintains high levels of preparation.*
01:41:29 ⚾ *Mike Trout demonstrates humility, exceptional athleticism, and a strong work ethic. He trusts his process and isn't looking for gimmicks.*
01:43:07 🏈 *Russell Wilson exhibits world-class behaviors, from maintaining a positive outlook to understanding his body's physiology and sleep hygiene. He emphasizes minimizing negativity and practicing neutral thinking.*

Ed, I love your message and I love you! I do want to say that I don’t really care for this form of editing. It bounces around so much and I really don’t get a chance to know the guest. In fact I don’t even know their name. There isn’t structure toward an idea either so it makes it difficult to follow.
