My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after t11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

Bed bugs are at every price point! Don't think that you can not get them just by staying at an expensive place. You have to check the beds and all soft surfaces. We have seen them on top cruise ships, high priced Disney Resorts, High price Hotels and Resorts all over. We travel extensively, seen some stuff in the most surprising places!
Bed bugs do not discriminate!

I am in Ohio and have delt with them. I am allergic and swell up they love me and I also have seen them all kinds of places

Chrome, I love that you show that van life doesn’t HAVE to mean nothing but forests and granola…it can also mean fun adventures in a big city. It means LIFE, wherever and whatever that means to the individual.
My sister is a manager in a high end hotel in metro Vancouver. Housekeeping staff are trained to find bed bugs and they use a sniffer dog to detect them as well. Yes, they do find them. So ya they are everywhere. What a great day Chrome! Live life to the fullest.
Here in Arizona bed bugs cannot survive in a vehicle. It is likely the same for you there in the summer. Just park in the sun. If the interior temp reaches 48c for 90 minutes it will kill them.
That is totally one of the positive aspects of having a home that soars to high temps when in the sun - burns those bed bugs right out!!

Just an FYI, just because a place charges more doesn't mean they couldn't have bedbugs. Hotels that have the most traffic will have higher chances of getting them, because it's the guests that bring them.
It's always best to do a through inspection of a bed of any place you rent before settling in to be sure
Totally agree, high dollar doesn't necessarily mean no bugs, sadly.
When my husband discovered that we had bed bugs, he was so disgusted he wanted to sleep in a hotel, I said, dont! You will bring them with you and infest others. We called a professional exterminator as soon as we saw the bugs. It took a while to get rid of them but it worked. The best way to avoid being infested is to have your own home, that way you dont share other people's bugs. We have our home but we got infested by a visitor, the bugs travelled in his bags and that person lived in an apartment. But having our own house made the treatment easier.

When the van broke down and we found out how serious it is, I honestly thought he was going to go full steam ahead with the ambulance build. Interesting to see a different approach. Just a little sad that this probably means the ambulance is going to take a while longer.
He does the ambulance build in the winter when the weather turns. 😉

Don’t start pairing him up again..he and Emi made the right decision….both of them look so much more relaxed and are enjoying their separate adventures. No two people are nicer but more unsuited for each other. Everything Crome did today, that he had a complete blast doing…Emi would have hated! Everything he ate, she wouldn’t have touched. Everything Emi is doing and her calm, relaxed style would not have flown with Crome…would drive him buggy! These are two wonderful people who enjoy and are perfectly suited for solo life. Not everyone is but they are.

Downtown Calgary at night looks way different. At least it did 12-14 years ago. When the sun went down, the streets filled up with all of the dregs of society. Drug addicts: shooting, smoking right on the sidewalk, prostitutes doing their "thing" right on the sidewalk. This wasn't far from that space needle thing with the glass floors. We went to a basement restaurant, the oldest in Calgary I believe, later in the afternoon and it looked just like Chrome's vlog. When we came out of the restaurant after sundown, it was like we transported to a different location. One of the weirdest experiences ever.
It's like you just described downtown Los Angeles.
