  • We are back guys and girls with another video.
This time we are diving once more in the world of wingfoiling and taking a look into how to take your first steps.
Learning to control the wing in the early stages will greatly accelerate your learning process so make sure to perfect your wing control on the beach before going full force into the water.
I hope this video helps and sorry for the bad audio quality. The wind started early this season in Rhodes and it doesnt seem to want to stop, so I had to film in wind.
Remember to like, share and subscribe if you liked the video!

Certainly the best advices for beginners I saw since I begin wingfoil.

You are the best wing foil teacher. There are hundreds of videos out there teaching wing foiling, but such amazing tips you have. And the strange part is ..they all seem so simple after listening to you, but shocked to realize that something that basic didn't even occur to us. Especially the very beginning ones about holding the wing up and using back hand, and even the very beginning one about how to hold with one hand when letting the wing flap.

Best beginner tutorial I've seen so far and really useful for windsurfers coming to wing foiling with loads of tips.. Watched the second video too, and I've done all the mistakes you mentioned 😄. I'm going to be much better prepared for my next attempts, thank you!

It’s been difficult to go from Expert Windsurfer to not able to stand up on my wing board! Much more difficult than I expected!

I’m just starting and after 2 struggling sessions I realized that your explanations were exactly what I need to make early progress and stop plenty of mistakes ! I thought that I understood the wing control with just some handling on a free field but it was a big error ! I didn’t see any of the good tips you showed us! I am sure that next session will be far easier now ! Thanks a lot! 😎

very accurate tutorials, and some advices that I didn't se until now (the wing toward the wind, before back handling, elbow locked inwards, front hand near the leading edge, ...)
So keep going with such tutorials, it's really excellent

Thanks , very helpful video. The only thing I couldn’t get was the 45 deg hand position, you mentioned, for the stance, relative to your body, board and wind.

Thank you, man! You're the first toob video I came across that makes sense for a beginner like me. Awesome details, but also great general, easy to remember pointers for next time out on the water. Thanks!

Very useful explanation. Initially the video is a bit long so i just skimmed through it. But as i was practicing, i remembered certain parts. Second time viewing, I listened carefully and memorized everything he was saying. Eureka! Thanks for the through explanation!

Haha sounds pretty classic. No one wants to sit and listen to the boring theory but it definitely helps a lot! I hope you will progress faster now and that I was able to help!
      Enjoy!

I can see that your both hands are facing us! In windsurfing the front hand is most time reversed to grab the boom (in the opposite direction) . It seems that it will bring the front arm a bit more firmly in the described position and lock it a bit more ! Is it acceptable or is it better to keep the hand position as shown??? 😇

    Good teacher.
Please tell me : 2.5 wing from decathlon is good for begginer.
I already have sup with middle fin (for wind surf sup) also from decathlon.
    Thanks.

    • @kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwind
      @kyriakosgiakoumaroswingandwind  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey! Thank you!
Decathlon wings are not very good to start with. But anyway a 2.5 wing is a very small wing unless you are a small woman or child in a very windy place.
For most people the average wing is a 5m².
