I left my home 8 years ago . Now I decided moving back from FL. My family told me the situation in PR it’s getting better. just because I miss Puertorrican Food. In USA it’s getting hard, high prices , Inmigration crisis , taxes and a lot of competition.

Me and my family are thinking of moving to Puerto Rico,we are New Yoricans basically my husband was born in Brooklyn and raised there he traveled to Puerto Rico a few times when he was young and I was born in Manhattan but raised in Puerto Rico my parents and my husband parents are pure Puerto Ricans.Me and my husband moved with our kids out of New York to Florida back in 2007 when Florida was affordable cause New York was crazy expensive but Florida is no longer what it used to be over crowded,everything is rising with no control,food prices are sickly expensive and forget about gas is insane also with no control at any time they raise the prices and jobs pay miserable wages.Not the stressful life I would want me and my family to live.Whoever moves to Florida thinking is layback and slow and so affordable to live,you are so mistaken because Florida has changed for all negative reasons.

This is amazing! I am from Chicago on my journey to Rincon, PR. My story is similar. I am tired of the Rat Race. Lived my entire life for my ex- wife and my son. Now, I gave them everything, and want to live a simple life. Don’t have any crazy expectations but I don’t mind the Sun. I am so excited to brush up on Spanish and experience authentic PR Culture. If anyone knows and can recommend few good churches in Rincon, PR., any local places that would possibly hire Mechanical Maintenance person/Sports Therapist/ Tennis Pro (can do Beach Tennis too)…
I don't know that much about Rincon and yes, there's lots of beach tennis places around here!
I heard another TH-camr interview an ex-pat in Rincon who spoke well of her church, The Church Without Walls.

I took some general education requirements like literature and economics. I was at UP Rio Piedras.

I am not Puerto Rican. I don't know my timeline, but it might be a few years. I like St. Croix, but it seems more expensive.
@PrinciplesofIncreaseTV Okay, because I know a lot about Puerto Rican politics and news that's going on in the island. And what I've been seeing is that the most local Puerto Ricans absolutely hate that Non-Puerto Rican Americans with no relation to the island are moving in and buying up land and properties just to profit themselves because its causing gentrification. It's even becoming mainstream in the news and pop culture to bash on people who do move to the island just for tax benefits and to buy properties. And the political party that is incentivizing this and who also created the tax loophole Act60, they are the PNP and they are a very corrupt party, also they are open about how they are only doing all this to pressure congress to make the island the 51st state. Next year are elections on the island, and there's a new political alliance seeking to topple the PNP, and they are likely going to win because of all the corruption that had been exposed in the PNP and because they've done a terrible job running the island. If they lose the governors seat, and the majority in both legislature houses. That new alliance of parties is going to make it difficult for you to live on the island. You're friend should have told you about all the issues that are going on in the island. If you are there just for a few years that should be okay, but I don't recommend staying there for a long time.
