    Did you apply the heat while that metal plate is on the back side of the USB port?

    Great but you didn't show how you placed the soldering on the changing port and as well there is a metal cover at the back you didn't explain if we have to remove it or not .

    have you heard of the charging port causing speaker cut out problems with these models? mine still charges. wiggle charging cord and corrects the speaker problem.

      and its not a cord problem..speaker intermittently works with no cord plugged in..used different cords

      possible , i know the speaker connector its near to charging port, so that can cause the issue. Check the speaker connector

      Thanks for answering! (you really didn't need to) It's just when you remove the top cover around 1:43. We don't get to see the tool you use or how you use it. No biggie though. I liked the video!
