Easily fixed my daughter's tablet in well under half an hour thanks in no small part to this video. Nicely done, clear, and very easy to follow. Thanks very much indeed!
Dude you just saved me $100 thank you so much. My son broke the port on his freaking out when it started dying and shoved the charger in wrong and we never got it repaired.. because $100 is what i paid for it on black friday lmao. i was just staring at its sad dusty corpse (and its out of warranty) so i googled repairing it myself and you, you beautiful soul, made this video. He might not get it back but his new baby sister can use it! THANK YOU GOOD SIR T_T Looks easier than when i repaired the joycon joysticks.
Thank you! Even though you posted this video quite a while ago, I still use and like my Tab A and I followed your clear instructions. My Tab A is working great again. $8.99 to repair it, wow!
Your knowledge and skill was so expertly described throughout this video that even I thought it was possible to follow the instructions. Unfortunately I am too nervous and weak to try taking the back off to get started. Well done and thank you.
What brand flux and solder do you use? I have always used Kester. I have a late model Samsung that has a very thin bezel. I have the standard blade tool but don’t see a gap to put it in to separate the case.
Very nice. I have a Samsung 8 “ tablet that’s only a couple of months old with the same problem. Does the tab A8 and previous model use the same dc connector pcb? This one has a very tight LCD to body. Very little bezel to case crack. Not much of a soace to get a guitar pick into. I can’t turn it on to see the model since it won’t charge. Looks harder to get into but it’s on the list. Nice soldering. I did repair for 33 years but mostly through hole boards with some surface mount. I remember when a 40 pin dip was a big IC. We had laptops with 12 D nicads. Times have changed.
If my memory serves me correctly the A8 has a "daughter board" for charging and is effectively a modular part. also, the plastic back cover will pop off on this one with the right amount of leverage. I usually try and squeeze a pick in around any buttons or memory card trays. that's where the plastic is most flexible
So the micro usb ports wear out easy?? My daughters tablet the battery started swelling, I installed new battery and noticed tab wont charge properly, cord is loose in port.

excellent job, well done. your soldering iron is very good what do you use ?
My bit of yellow tape blew onto the floor somewhere. Can I use electrical tape? I guess the tape is to keep that little brown plastic bit down?
Replacing charger port model SM-T510
Please tell me if the T295 scarf will fit if I have a T290?
Thanks for your tutorial, can you (or anybody) comment how and we're to order the complete charging board port? Thanks in advance
That's a great repair. A great idea would be to be able to change it to a type c haha.

Do you have a part number or something we can reference to buy the same exact part?
