Her harp used to just sit in her living room except when she would take it to campus for concerts. We used to beg her to play a concert for us in her living room. After months, she finally gave in and scheduled a Sunday afternoon living room concert. She sent out fancy, lacy invitations to everyone in the apartment building. Probably 20 or 30 people came. We all waited for her to come out of the back room to play, but, to our surprise, her three roomates each came out, one at a time, and played one or two pieces each. She had been giving them free lessons for months. After the recital, the harpist came out, thanked us for coming, and announced that the concert was over. My roommate shouted at her that if she didn't play the harp that he would pluck off all of its strings. She then played a long, beautiful piece in a classical style that lasted probably 15 minutes. We clapped our hands raw and all at raman noodles together before leaving.

I have heard that the harp is the hardest instrument to master. Is it true? May God bless her. May His Face shine upon her and give her peace. Amen.
I am a harpist, I studied the harp and I tell you she's wonderful.... harp ist a crazy instrument with its 7 pedals and the position is hard to bear such a long time... that's a life time consecration. It has to be really a cleaned play without noises and precision!!!! a big Bravo to her because making it easy is like a miracle.
You would have to ask people who mastered multiple instruments and have quite a big sample group becasue it's probably harder to master first instrument than second, third etc
But aren't u a harpist urself ? Or maybe u were in some previous life? Grap that 150 kg harp an try it friend, I'm sure u can play it fine and have decent nights, ur just surching ur way now!

In the last couple of days I have witnessed through TH-cam, Toccata being played on the biggest pipe organ in the world in Germany it was Grand and impressive and a younger woman played it on the harp excellent performance she's coming up but you, Sophia, the way you play it's not only excellent it is beautiful
I want to be able to like this more than once...
Sofia, you totally killed me with Moldau, the rest is heaven.... thank you so much from Kyoto Japan
and how about the Bach?
@@PabloEColorado Bach is god.
Sophia your harp is spellbinding and transcends heaven and earth, I will remember beautiful you, for the rest of my life.
Just as I thought that this woman might be an angel sent to Earth, she turned her gaze up to the ceiling and held it there for several moments, as if to confirm. Thank you for this great gift
The playing was so magical that it was up on TH-cam and has a positive and uplifting comments section 😄🙏
The best, young harpist EVER!
Hurrah! Hurrah! Onward!🤩❤🤠
As an organist, I'll have to say I was skeptical about hearing the Toccata and Fuge in d on a harp, but, Sophia, you won me over with your consummate artistry. There are nuances you brought out that I've never considered before. I'll be watching for your name on C.D.'s and upcoming concerts. I love how you perform music on the harp. May God draw you ever closer to Himself in faith.
What he said.😁
It good even in gaming
Need work on creative but good
God has nothing to do with this woman's artistry! She is amazing 👏 👏👏
@@redshirley1234 You don't understand what God is.
God can be used in secular terms to mean something that transcends to a higher plane of existence or as the Buddha (an Atheist) would describe as "Enlightenment" or "Nirvana".
What an absolute supurb masterpiece. Wonderful concert. Thank you so much for giving so much joy.
Someone else said in the comments that this is transcendent. Truly, this is music that elevates the spirit to a higher state of being.
A true artist! I feel the Harp is a lost art. I'm so happy i live in a time period i can enjoy music from around the world. greetings from the united states *_*
Harp is a sophisticated and rich by itself.
Same time it can be a fantastic member of orchestra.
Ms. Sophia Kiprskaya brings out the best of this instrument.
Thanks millions from California.
A God given talent exposed by hard work and persavereance. So beautiful.
God has very little to do with this talent. She was ethereal long before God came along.
Glory to God for all things!
@@redshirley1234 False. "In the beginning, God created..." And He loves you too my friend.
There is something just so magical about the harp and its sounds.
It is very difficult for me, when I see such a beautiful and talented lady playing harp, not to fall in love ... Well .. I surrender, and surely i'm not the only one ♥
First time hearing and seeing someone playing The Harp solo, certainly been worth the wait.
The Harp needs to be heard, not drowned out.
This Beautiful Angel performs amazingly showing her Gifted talent being so Blessed to have received in life.
Will seek out more of her performances.
The Harp..an orchestra in one most certainly. 💜⚘
Merci Sophia...🙂😊😇
As close as you can get to genius just amazing and these are our younger generations showing excellence through these wonderfull instruments thankyou so much 😇🥰💐🌈🌈🌈🦘🦘🦘☔️☔️☔️☸️💟☮️🕉️🌹🍀🦋🌻🌻🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🙏🙏🙏🌏🩷💙
I think this is my 5th time watching this concert. It's marvelous from beginning to end!
this is really great as mentioned from start to finish
Sounds of heaven to my ears. Have sleep disorder. Found myself falling asleep while listening to this blessed sweet sound of harp. The experience was a peaceful calm.
I think the hardest instrument to master is the Theremin : th-cam.com/video/PjnaciNT-wQ/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/lY7sXKGZl2w/w-d-xo.html
You would have to ask people who mastered multiple instruments and have quite a big sample group becasue it's probably harder to master first instrument than second, third etc
But aren't u a harpist urself ? Or maybe u were in some previous life? Grap that 150 kg harp an try it friend, I'm sure u can play it fine and have decent nights, ur just surching ur way now!
@@thienduchue to master any instrument - to become one with the music and the instrument whatever it may be is truly worthy of great praise
Thank you. So beautiful. Spiritual. The rest of the world went away while I watched you play.....
Zack so do I
I took my 1st harp lesson yesterday- both mesmerised & disconcerted watching this! Huge respect for her talent, grace & dedication 🎉
WoW, wishing you the best 🌹
There are no words to express the fascination, which this concert triggers! It is amazing to observe how someone can devote her entire life to one cause - the music and to give pleasure and mental upliftment to fellow human beings. Mind elevates through such sublime music. My special regards go to Sophia Kiprskaya. It is hard for us to imagine how much effort, time, patience, endurance, determination, one-pointedness of mind, love, surrender, and a positive and optimistic set of mind are needed to come to such an outcome and to arrive at such a divine deliverance. Thank you.🙏
Beautiful visuals and audio, skill rare indeed, and literally revolutionized what I thought could possibly be done on a harp. Never forget how lucky we are to see such things whenever we please, beyond any king or emperor before...
THIS GIRL SHOULD BE VERY PROUD, SHE IS A MASTER, AND SHE PULLED IN OVER A MILLION HITS FOR THE HARP, THAT MAY BE A FIRST !!!
I love the way she rocks the whole harp back and forth
I wept the first two solos, I’ve never experienced such beauty that way before. What an absolutely marvelous performance. Thank you for this.
The first time I'm hearing Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D Minor on a harp. What a sorcery by her hands to bewitch me into such trance!! I couldn't take my eyes or ears off this performance for the first few minutes till the camera zoomed out to distract me with the tastefully ornate decor of the hall. This video is visual and aural gold... Bellissimo!!
this is Devine
Her incomparable performance is beyond description , immeasurable and unfathomable
Very very beautiful music and graces to you...

Sueño de amor. Suena divino.
Beautiful, especially the Moldau. The ambience, the concert hall painted in a cream color, matching her dress, everything combines to give us a calming and peaceful sensation.
Absolutely spellbinding performance. Never thought this piece would sound so beautiful on a harp!
So beautiful. Congratulations to Sophia Kiprskaya for her refined artistry. She is wonderful and unique. Her inspiration is so powerful that I dared to write some lines for him... After such a long time. Bolshoi Spasiba!
Oh dear, that's what Kingdom of heaven truly meant, one couldn't see nor point or even juz hear it...

The comfort of her harp is irreplaceable
Thank-You for-this vibration-relation that-is energy-exchange.
The harp is a beautiful instrument but when played with such talent as here it is transcendent. Thank you for sharing such beauty.
wonderful music ...and this dress.......;)
if I had ten more lifes, I would use them all to play the Fly of the bumblebee on the Harp, just to make Sophia Kiprskaya believe that life has a beatifull meaning, just the same way she just did to me right now when I listened and saw her concert. Wish you joy, Sophia! Thank you a lot for the great joy you gave at this just moment! Best wishes from Brasil!
please don't play flight of the bumblebee. anything but flight of the bumblebee
Found this on Christmas Eve 2023, I've been to the Mariinsky Theatre in St P saw Swan Lake there and I can say this find is a Treasure as much as seeing Swan Lake for my birthday. She's simply Astoundingly Amazing. a Whole Orchestra from her harp.
Beautiful. such dedication and discipline required to develop such skill. wonderful

One of the most deeply profoundly moving musical experiences I have ever had. This woman's talent is unrivaled, the emotions evoking forth are truly inexplicable. Delicate, powerful, spectral...hauntingly beautiful. Thank you from the depths of my soul, I needed this.
I would love to just to sit down and listen to this lady how peaceful the surroundings get when I listen to her music amen
This is one of the most amazing things that I've heard, in a long time.
What beautiful artistry of by Sophia Kiprskaya ! The harp has its bow of most ancient in most ancient races. It was a highly developed instrument in ancient Egypt. Such was the instrument of the Cymeric and celtic bards etc. Bravo 👏 ❤
What an honor to listen to this concert again.
All these classical musicians feelings come alive with depths from their fingertips with each stringed instrument flowing among the other with colors vibrating ethereal into flute of a bird singing.
Bravo , Bravo 👏 👏👏👏👏
Never seen a harp be played live before, so I'm just stunned. Wonderful show!
This was beyond beautiful. Thank you to Sophia Kirprskaya and the beautiful Mariinsky Theatre.
It is my dream to play a guitar concerto on this stage. Perhaps in the next lifetime.
