Mainline is Not loaded fully with Goods trains. There are numerous Express trains as well. Also, DFC will be opening till Saphale only as of now for next 2 Years, so it won't affect the Local frequency much before Quadrupling.
R u sure about land filling at South of virar is for new platform? and not for provision of 5th & 6th line between Borivali & Virar!!! Coz if Dahanu local towards Churchgate will go on new platform then it has to cross 6th & 5th line once it depart towards Churchgate. Plz confirm

thank you for such an informative video also my condolences for your Baba. i do wish that railways implement the system of 4 lines where outer two are for suburban / slow trains while inner two lines are for through trains current system --> Down slow (t-1)/ Up slow (t-2) / Down fast (t-3) / Up Fast (t-4) seems easy but it is a nuisance for passengers. instead, it could have been Down Slow (t-1) / Down Fast (t-2) / Up Fast (t-3) / Up Slow (t-4) passengers don't have to climb up stairs and down the stairs to switch from fast train to slow train. they can switch on same platform as both tracks can come on two sides of same platform for crossovers. another use is, for faster trains to bypass, the slow train simply has to move from track2 to track 1 or from track 3 to track 4. same thing when a fast train goes slow after a particular station. just has to shift one track instead of two.

If goods train shift on wdfc till saphale then the frequency of locals will increase or not as traffic on mainline will get relief from goods train
