All major financial centres in the world like New York, London, Singapore, Shanghai, Dubai, Tokyo, etc are next to massive ports. Vadhavan port is going to be in the list of 10 biggest ports in the world. A complete new city like Navi Mumbai should be built in Palghar. All these infrastructure projects along with the proposed international airport are enough to ensure a self-sustaining city. Logistics, shipping, financial services, manufacturing, trading, IT, education, etc should be the main focus in this area. It will also help in decongesting Mumbai.
The Vadhavan port construction &development (road and railway lines) last mile connectivity has been kept on ultra fast track processing .as a result the areas around it ( Dahanu , And so on )are witnessing a heavy demand in property price & warehouse and godown setups .
Modern day youth wants better lifestyle as compared to previous generations, we are witnessing lighting fast speed internet connectivity and so we should a progressive report on Dapchari airport , concrete work moving as it was planned 25 years back . Before Naina, I am pretty sure that Palghar will become the unofficial ' 3rd Mumbai '. It has immense potential. Although, I am just not happy with sea links. And Alibaug should also have a rail connectivity. They can and should, quadruple the Vasai Diva line for suburban commuter trains and create a new Vasai station for WR originating trains to go towards the South and East of India. In the near future, I feel that Mumbai, Pune, and Dahanu (possibly Vapi as well) will merge into one big metropolitan region.
