Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf
Something that I'm grateful for about the fact that pirate leaving after two successful plunders is there's no longer the somewhat insulting achievement of "Lose 10 duels in a single game."
There is an achievement called “Scalawag” for losing 6 duels nowadays, though. So it isn’t completely out of our hair

Kinda weird to be considered dead when you leave after winning
Only thing i hate is that famine goes through invincible defense. I once won as pirate but then died to famine because it apparently just goes through every defence. Even invincible
You also then still lose the game
@@Maddox420 the only roles that have invincible defense are the horsemen though?
@@broom8964 no Pirate and Doom get it too after they win. You can actually see that in the video after Pipe gets his second pirate win. His def bar goes from empty to full.
That's proly just a bug they will fix, once the pirate has won it shouldn't matter that the rest of the town gets nuked by the horseman.

Fun fact: You can use this strategy as Soul Collector to transform into Death faster
That’s probably what the soul collector did in this game too.
@@Minelove423 Which is exactly why as Jinx, Crusader, Bodyguard, and LO I tend to go on the disconnects.
Then I know who visited the disconnected, and only two roles will usually do that, either a Pirate, or a Soul Collector.
@@Dark3nedDragon Why does this feel like an upcoming strat for Arsonists to disconnect and reconnect (when that becomes a feature)....
@@FeyPhantom I don't think it'll become a feature, or else people would just disconnect on the stand.

Feels like after removing the kingmaker features it is most often going to be more optimal to kill the pirate which really sucks.
from the games i played, going out of your way to kill pirate is still frowned on. i saw a deputy kill pirate once and the majority reaction was along the lines of "really?"
@@Underworlder5 Deputy shot is strong, using it on pirate is a waste. The only reason you would kill pirate as vigi/dep/pros is to get yourself confirmed.
@@GerMorden neutral evils roles like pirate, jest or executioner are interesting. sometimes town decides to give you a free win, other times they kill you without hesitation
I kill every pirate I can as any role, because they inevitably screw me over.
@@marcobering3945 my friend. A pirate fricked me and coven over then another game happened and frickeg my rare "pb" win screen. That was it. A good pirate is a dead pirate. I make sure pirate doesn't win even if it can cost me the game.

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Life is scary and unknown but there are things that matter. I can’t tell you to be happy but the sun will rise tomorrow, so work for a better tomorrow but don’t forget what you have today. Life can be beautiful, it’s worth experiencing.
I wonder if there's a way that they could bring back amnesiac remembering evil roles, cause even if they let you choose the town role it's only really useful if a tpw dies early. I know that they don't want to make amnesiac a neutral, but what if it could remember evil roles and still be town? Even if that's op they could balance it out by doing things like you can't remember certain roles or you can only remember after a certain night. Idk I just wanna see an amnesiac remember conjurer and meteor strike an nk in a 1v1
an alternative is to bind evil roles to town counterparts, having unique amne-town roles that can't spawn unless amne remembers it.
e.g. SK would turn you into coroner/vigi
PM would make you cleric
etc
then you could have custom amne town roles like
Conjurer makes you the arch wizard (carbon copy of conjurer but only amne can get it)
Amne is in an awkward spot. They removed his insta confirm (a good thing in my oppinion), but he still lacks control over what he becomes. I don't see what is the point of this role in its current state.
@@Yukiharuwu Amne turning into town sided variants of non-town would be very cool. Just that giving them new names would be a hassle, so just name them Conjurer(Town) like Prosecutor(Town Traitor). On the same note, having admirer turn an evil on the town's side would be cool too.
Although they would be very strong and should be locked to special gamemodes like cursed souls and vampires.
They should just make amne a coven role which could remember any role but still be coven
I think that the biggest problem is that Amne feels useless, you can't do anything N1 and usually only get a role N2. And when you turn into a role it just feels like "why didn't I just start the game as this role".
Amne in TOS 1 was super fun because you could choose the role and you could become anything, I kinda get it only being limited to town (I still hate it) but at least let Amne pick the role they become.
Even then it just seems like a super slow role that does nothing the first 2-3 nights and by then can't make enough of an impact, even if they become a powerful role like jailor.
At this point I don't think there is salvaging this role with small changes and it should just be removed from regular game modes. It would then be relegated to its own game mode where it is a neutral role and the 'only town' restriction doesn't exist.
My strategy to always win as pirate is to choose rapier, and then if I lose the duel or if I won against coven I always pick pistol for the rest of the game. So far I’ve never lost a pirate game.
Edit: also my first ever pirate game I won 3 duels on one game because my second win was against a trapped target.

If the pirate is the Same as tos1 then it defaults to sidestep unless they have dueled a pirate in that session of gaming aka if they had a game before where they picked chainmail and dc in this game then it will do chainmail.
Personally i don't really see pirate as an issue if they can plunder dcs. Pirate leaving after two plunders means no more chaos like in tos1 where pirate just became vigi/escort hybrid and messed with everyone and if the player doesn't want an easy win they can just not do it

It worries me a little how this reconnecting feature would affect game balance ie town finds out an evil but the evil disconnects, do town leave the evil alone since they disconnected or do town hang them just in case it reconnects potentially losing the hang of the day
I think hang just in case unless they aren't a killing role
...you don't waste a hang at all. If someone DCs, its an extra hang town wouldnt get If the person stayed.
maybe hide disconnects during voting phase?

@@kitsicles111 What i'm saying is you should hang the person, even If they DC. Don't take chances, confirmed Evil, get then out for good.
My point is that you're not "wasting" linches, because someone quitting is an EXTRA town shouldn't be getting anyways.

people are so hateful towards pirates in tos2 not a fan. i swear people were so much nicer to pirates in tos1
i think dep should get somthing else to do besdies the 1 day time kill. he is pretty usless after the 1 kill and is just a vote or a free town kill for coven mabey give him basic defence after shootin g idk
Have you(or anyone) had any weird issues with Pirate recently? I ask because I'm a recent game we had a Pirate that survived a Bodyguard counterattacked, a Berserker being witched into them, and then got 3 or 4 wins in a game without being removed from the player pool. I believe it also gave them a loss at round end.
They should NOT allow disconnected people come back, if I was coven and about to hang I would leave and then come back at night. That’s broken is it not?
Day 5 of asking Pipe to play Lovers mode in Tos 1 till he gets the rare Pestilence message.
I didn't realize how funny that dep play was until the end.

I still like being able to exist even after winning like you did in tos1. Just more fun
I've been into this game for years and I still don't understand what is happening half the time or how people even keep up with the chat. Lol I enjoy watching people play that know what they're doing though. I personally suck at ToS.
I had a game as pirate where 4 people picked chainmail in a row, 4 seperate people - i picked up after the 2nd time and won after that

they'll nerf pirate to not be able to target disconnected players now
@@mastertheboi nah, pirate requires 2 33% chances to win. and they risk dying if they visit a counterattack role like Serial Killer, Bodyguard(?) or Veteran.

Pirate have to be my second favorite role in the game behind ritualist. Call me a sweat but yeah.
It's wild that you can't reconnect in ToS2 yet. Evils could probably try to use d/c's to try and take heat off themselves for a night but d/c's just ruin games
