This may be my very favorite piece that you have ever made. The whole idea of a memory keeper with the pockets and exquisite stitching is wonderful..I am never disappointed in your videos.
This is really beautiful Lauretta. The pockets are a great idea and it definitely would have a purpose for me. It will go on my to-do-list! I recently bought some old napkins/handkerchiefs so they would come in handy. I love the way everything blends so well together, the lace, the photos and your stitching! Ines xx
What a beautiful book. I’m hoping to be able to make something similar. I’ve never made a cloth journal though. I just love yours. My problem is I over think things and trying to decide how to place the fabrics is a little difficult as I’m thinking too much about it. I’d like to know how to just let my creativity flow. I can’t create ideas for myself. I have to go by other peoples ideas. Beautiful, beautiful book. You have a new subscriber. I love your videos.❤
Thank you so much! I know lots of people struggle with "overthinking" the creative process. It might help if you limit your color palette, or limit the fabrics you have to choose from for a specific page. You could also set a timer and allow yourself x amount of minutes to set up your collage. Just for practice. My mother always told me to only offer my children 3 things. For example they could have a cookie or chips or an apple. Otherwise, if they just opened the fridge or the cabinet they'd stand there for half an hour because there was just too much to pick from. I have a HUGE stash of fabrics etc to pick from, but I find if I just go through and gather 10-20 fabrics within a specific color or theme (maybe polka dots, or flowers etc) it definitely goes easier. It also lends an overall cohesiveness to the book. I hope you make one. I hope you have fun with it. I adore making them. Thanks for watching! xoxo
Thank you, Helen. Very kind of you to say. I have 3 kids. My eldest is the crafty one and she has done some embroidery, but she mostly crochets and sews. But all three appreciate the work, so that's good. Maybe my grandkids will be stitchers. One can only hope! xo
Gorgeous! Enjoy your (4 day) thanksgiving! Did you know that it is an actual scientific fact that eating turkey makes one sleepy?! The weird things I know… and am happy to share! 🤓😁 Take care 😉❤️

I think this is extremely INCREDIBLE!❤️it belongs in a quilt/stitch museum. Do any of children (not sure how many you have) stitch at all?

Thank you, Gwen! Yes, I think it's from the tryptophan in the turkey?? I think. You are always welcome to enlighten me with your knowledge, girl. xo
