Love bluetone. It has become a main staple across all my busses when processing. Simple to use and u can achieve a really great sound quickly. They didn’t miss with this one

not usually a fan of these plugins that hide a load of complexity under a few presets, but this thing is amazing, all of those presets are so dialled in, they just work. Everything sounds BIG through this, both clean and warm. I demoed the tube tech multiband after getting this but lack the skill to dial it in to sound anywhere as near as the bluetone presets. I loved the S73 for these reasons, but this has mainly replaced it.
You can use these presets in blue tone in smc 2b as well. Just need to select them at presets folder and use the hidden headroom feature to dial the compression in. Thats what i sometimes do in drawmer 1973. But i am saving my money for oeksound bloom.
I have the drawmer and tried this one too, i have the feeling that both of them make the high mids pop a lil bit by default, maybe its just my ears but its not always very pleasant sounding at least for my taste
No copy protection or the least intrusive ones are best for the customer. So I was skeptical of ILOK as well… (although you don’t need a physical dongle for which you as the customer needs to pay for a copy protection device although it is not your intention to pirate it). BUT: As I changed my music computer for the first time, the effort involved to getting all my ILOK-plugins to work was almost none: login, boom, all was working. For almost all the others I needed to login, retrieve/look up the serials, authorize them (too bad if the plug-in company went out of business)… also nice: some plug-in companies wanted to authorize again after a couple of months via internet. Too bad if you are on a gig with a bad internet connection…For me I answer the question „Is it shit?“ for ILOK with „No!!!“

It's a lot like the S73, I've used that for years, and by the looks of it The Blue Tone will be a goto for years to come.

I don't mind ilok...now that it can be cloud based it makes more sense. Obviously would be better without...👍
Their stuff is all cracked and out on the pirate sites, ilok achieves nothing but annoying your paying customers.
I have some softtube licenses that were licensed to the machine (computer) through iLok.
