I have knock knees and today at the gym i started doing the ball squat and the calve stretch. Felt a huge difference in the way i walked and felt my quads activate dramatically when I squatted. Also realized i was always locking out my knees. Going to put this into practice 3x per week and see what happens.

I have very bad arthritis knee (both knees, but so much more in the right one) that is knock knee as well. My feet went flat in my 40s. I'm 70 now. I was not aware of my knock knee until I started going to physical therapy. The therapist pointed it out. I asked my knee doctor about it and he said it may have started after the arthritis. I stopped running after 20 years at age 46 because my right knee felt like it might give way. I also swim laps and that kept the knee well for many years, until the pandemic forced the pool to close. 10 months after the pool closed, my knee got so bad and locked in a position where it wouldn't straighten enough to walk (fixed itself overnight, but from then on I have had knee problem and use a cane walking outside on city streets).
My shoe soles wear down on the outside. I have an old pair of custom orthotics that I wear over insoles inside my high-end NB athletic shoes (bought the shoes last week). I am in my 5th month of physical therapy. I got back to swimming in June after 15 months off (because of pandemic restrictions on the health clubs).
My mother had the same knee problem at my age and never went for help except to take pain killers, use a cane, then a walker, then a wheelchair. I'd always heard she had a bowed knee, but I think it was knock knee with arthritis. She never told me she had arthritis and she may not have known. She had pain all over, especially in her back.

Glute medius is an external rotator of the leg. So strengthen that, by training hip abduction, and the knee values will disappear.

I had a tibial plateau fracture in my left leg about 12 years ago, and I noticed that the knee on that leg bent inward, but I never thought there was anything I could do. Last November I did the same thing, only worse, to the other leg, and needed surgery. I’m still recovering, and that knee is even worse! It looks awful.

I'm knock kneed. When standing my lower legs rotate outwards because if they dont my knees hurt as the knees rotate medially causing more stress. Ive got high arches in my feet that flatten when I stand. I was also born with an anteriorly tilted pelvis, which did improve somewhat but still tilted. Ive been running lately so trying to improve my form to avoid RSI

I'm knocked knee in my right knee; a few years back, an Ortho doc had a Donjoy brace made for my right knee ; was to wear it a few minutes a day and on the inside up at the kneecap, it was to eventually push the kneecap back into place and therefore I wouldn't be so knocked knee.
Welllllll, guess what? It hurt like 😳😳😳 and caused pain. I stopped wearing it. I told that Ortho doc that I believed that brace made my knee pain worse; in sense, he agreed. 400.00 my cost. I wear no braces . I'll do these exercises as I do others

    • @JustBreathewithRachelGreene

I think either way, what you need to watch out for is the alignment of your knees and your toes. For example the knee may cave inward or flare outward and you want to make sure it is tracking with the center of your toes which should be pointing directly forward. Good luck!
