As insane as it sounds, of the second half of MM&B, Burner Man was the one that scared me the LEAST.

well done, I love this text commentary. not overly intrusive and informative and then there's the attention, care and skill needed to even do this.
This is why I did it this way. It’s kind of an enhanced how-to guide with a demo.
With Burner Man, you just need to find some Ice Wall lying on the ground somewhere and annihilate him with it. If doing Buster Only, I'll give you this tip: since the arena is scrolling, try to ALWAYS have him onscreen, or at least PART of him onscreen (wave burner) so that you don't get caught lacking when he dives or uses Wave Burner on you.

I called a friend on Discord while playing this stage, and we spent literally an hour trying to beat it with no avail.
What parts were giving you the most trouble? This run took me 3 weeks, and also keep in mind, I’ve played this game for years.
@@hunam1464 probably the fire telly part. we got to burner man once and died immediately
@@memejohn86 Yeah that part got way easier when I found the safe spots where you can deal with one problem at a time. Also remember you can despawn the final Fire Telly.

It was the ONLY one, wasn't it? And you didn't realize until later or just decided to finish off and try again?
There were a lot of tight timing sections like that through this stage.
In the failed run, that was the only missed shot. It was less than a dozen runs later that I decided to try shooting under the Wave Burner only in relatively close quarters. But at that point, it was only a matter of time before I got the run.
As bass, I beat burner man first try lmao
Bass just has so many more dodging options, especially over that continuous Wave Burner. That one move is the biggest run ender with Mega Man, especially in the middle of the room.

I agree. Charged buster shots are Burner Man’s true weakness, not the Ice Wall.
@@hunam1464 ice wall really helps you dodge his burner wave, you can completly cancel the attack that way and you don't have to do the hard double slide under him
@@Red_Biker_Dude The double slide is only tricky because it isn’t intuitive where you need to start it. The natural inclination is to do it as close to the Wave Burner as possible, which smacks your head into Burner Man’s feet. So you actually need to start the move further back.
How tedious
What's with the jump sound?
That’s the jump sound in Mega Man & Bass. Kind of odd, because only Mega Mans 7-&B have a sound when Mega Man starts his jump only, and every other game up to 11 has only a landing sound. Mega Man 11 has ~both~ a start of jump and landing sound, and it’s the same sound.

This video is undeniable evidence that burner man isnt even that unfair LOL some people just need to shut up and pay attention to the game when theyre pplaying lol I beat hij on my second try when i was 9 years old so just about anyopne can do it they just suck at megaman
I beg to differ on two points: the shots that go off screen don’t count - that’s horse hockey - and the bear traps can inhibit your ability to slide under Burner Man through clumsy RNG.

Burner Man is extremely hard if you don't know what you are doing but if you know what you are doing there's still an element of RNG. That being said if you have quick reflexes and know what to expect it's not impossible.
the problem with Burner man is the fact he moves too fast and can easily destroy you while you do minimal damage to him, he's not the hardest boss you can encounter in the game, but damn fighting him for the first time is a real pain in the ass, even his weakness can give you more headache if you don't know how to use it properly.
Burner man is extremely tough, not to mention Ice wall isn't even that effective unless you time it right, if you place it too soon, burner man will either destroy the wall or damage you when you get near it, if you time it too late, he won't get stunned and will keep attacking you, but if you time it right, you gotta push him AND follow him otherwise he won't fall on the spikes unless they're appearing on your screen.
