I forgot I didn't expect to like this cuz I was going to hate it because you changed an antique dressing table and I'll be honest with you I never thought I'd like it but it's beautiful thank you for sharing this and God bless you I hope you keep that for yourself
I wouldn't have done that if it were mine ,only out of fear of devaluing an antique, so it was awesome to watch someone brave enough to do it ,now...if it was already like that when i found it i would still buy it because now i wouldn't be afraid to change it in the future if i wanted to , GREAT JOB 🤘🤠🤘
It was one of a kind before. Put it back! I would never buy a puff piece as this. All the beauty is covered up with fabric, paint, stencil. Original piece AWOL.
I just wondered if you researched when and where this furniture piece was used historically? I think that matters. It is a part of bringing a piece of furniture back to life. This piece of furniture was not meant to be painted black with gold highlights.
It's not yours.... At least she's using it instead of letting it go to some landfill and being chopped into firewood.... Since evidently you know the history why don't you fill us all in so if someone else out there has a similar piece they won't as you say make the same mistake she did.
Yes I know it’s a late Victorian piece. I’ve painted 3 Eastlake pieces now because at the end of the day, paint can be removed if someone wants “natural look.” If it was so valuable, then I wouldn’t have bought it originally for $75. These type of pieces are plentiful in my area so if they want it unpainted they have multiple other options

You have to put your website address in your description u can't put links in your shorts anymore
The death of a wonderful piece of Eastlake furniture!
Thanks for preserving the shape ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and not removing the top and little drawers. Beautiful

Oh, it's 'one of a kind', alright.
I'm nuts for these floral transfers everyone is using anymore!
So am I but where do you get them?
After papering the sides(beautiful I might add) did you seal them at all ?
Gorgeous.
It's beautiful but I'm sorry, you ruined a beautiful wood piece. Should never paint antiques
A link for this stamp ? Tk you
Looked better in the before picture.
