In this video I cover some of the top safety tips for women when car camping solo. From pointing your car in the right direction to displaying a pair of large men's work boots. Car camping is generally extremely safe and I have had no issues but these are thoughts for those who are wanting to broaden the horizons with off-grid overnight park ups rather than campsites
As a truck driver that parks up at night, take the seat belt, thread it through the door handle & then buckle it up. This will give you an extra few seconds should they pick or electronically open the door lock. Hope that makes sense. All the best Andy
Great tip. I haven't felt the need but I thonk it's great if not comfortable
Great tips CJ, thanks. I can't tell you how different it was going with a mate to my feeling safe, i still followed all precautions for park ups tho, not just to keep up best practice but because to avoid confrontation is always better than to have to deal with it. We had 2 park ups where I would have felt very uncomfortable as a solo woman, one of which, had I been alone I would have just left. No one bothered us but everyone that used the carpark behaved very strangely.
Interesting. I wonder if they were dogging spots
@@WilderhopeAdventures the 2nd might have been. The 1st was mainly groups of young men

Great tips for men as well thanks

Thank you. I have a dashcam but it's not caught anything yet!
You must have an extremely good battery to leave your gopro on all night 🤔
@@GHExploration yes I run it off the car battery 👍
You mentioned the women's car camp group you run. Can you share a link for that, please?
