No matter where Taku goes, no matter what he forages/catches and cooks for us, the best part of every one of his videos is his infectious joy for what he is doing. You can really tell he loves and appreciates his life and it’s what separates him from many other content creators!
Just the other day I watched a video my best friend sent me a video of his little girl fishing off the dock at a campsite we (group of best friends) have been going to for 20 years. She was so excited to be fishing with her dad and it was so neat because when his wife was pregnant the way they told everyone they were going to have a girl was they had me take a picture of my buddy and his wife holding a sign saying "it's a girl!" at the same dock. It was really wonderful to see things full circle. I'm not sure why I shared this with you but the vibe I got from this video made me think of it. Anyway Cheers to you and yours!
Oh man The owners of the boat are living in paradise so great they let you film a cook up People all over the world will come to have a magnificent experience like this Top job 😊

My god, Kate is shooting on without an ND filter in the wilderness.... The mad lass Also, seeing Taku eat that shrimp raw, and holding back his smile... That was a magical moment.
I am addicted to these videos!!! I've learned that even if you've never tasted a specific seafood that Taku prepares you WILL crave it after and have to try it! I've been trying a lot of this stuff at my local sushi restaurant and it's all delicious. I wish that the octopus was less chewy cause the flavor is out of this world, imho. Thank you Taku and Jocelyn for your hard work and sharing your passion with the rest of us.
The production on this video is top notch. PB in all categories on the video. Taku’s passion for food and the relationship between Jocelyn and Taku shows in a surprisingly refreshing yet subtle way in terms of lifestyle channels here on TH-cam. I hope you don’t change this format.
So glad you made it. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. What an awesome video. Fly fishing is your best bet up there in those conditions. If they jump. They are looking at the surface.
I don't think I've ever seen Taku look so giddy and happy as when he was trying to sneak that prawn. Also this is possibly the best episode I've seen, what a beautiful place to visit!
Taku, that was the biggest smile I ever saw on your face. If there’s a perfect place on earth for anyone to visit- Alaska is Yours. If you ever get the opportunity come to the other side of North America visit Newfoundland and Labrador, we would love to make you smile as well!
I spent a summer living in Soldotna, Alaska. I had an endless supply of fresh seafood. All the roommates were harvesting max catch of halibut, salmon, razor clams and mussels.
Watching Taku always puts a smile on my face. No other channel has been able to make me smile genuinely. If I have to guess it'll probably be the honesty and quality passion you have for sharing these videos. I aspire to be someone like you Taku!
Octopus. They do have a beak that will bite you and you don’t feel it. Caught one diving and put him over my hand. Pulled him off and was bleeding 🩸. Then the mild pain started for a few days and left a little scar that has been there for thirty years as a reminder.
I think when a lot folks have a shellfish allergy it’s often from the crustaceans. Shrimp, crab, lobster, crawfish etc. I’m mortally allergic to those types but I can eat the mollusks variety of squid, octopus, oysters and mussels. But better to be safe especially when you’re on a boat and far from help.
You can hear Taku's heart pounding when he set the hook on the first Salmon! haha Nice job! The crew must be soo lucky to have you cook for them! I am so jealous!
