    Hello, thank you for doing this tutorial. I could probably use this in an electric outage on my cement slab. But like you say...use mesh screen. Regardless I appreciate you taking time to show this!

    Thank you for making this video, I have wondered if this convenient and inexpensive folding stove could work as a twig stove and now I know the pros and cons of that idea. I'm thinking of trying this but first prepping it by sealing some of the openings with metal tape (actual duct tape) and possibly adding a small piece of expanded aluminum to the bottom for the twigs to rest on which I'm imaging would tuck inside the folded unit. I also will try using the opening in the back as a place to feed in more twigs. Thanks again for the video.

    Maybe a mountain bike camping stove?
    For car camping, it’s virtually impossible to beat a Coleman stove, but this one isn’t terrible.

    • @paddle_hike
      @paddle_hike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No it's not terrible! The point here was to see if you can use it with wood ;) Cause I do have other ones that does it all. But if you use it would the gel cans etc it's a great stove indeed

    I've been thinking about getting one of those folding stoves. I want something simple to take on a day hike to make some coffee and maybe something simple to eat. I guess I'm not up on these things yet but 10 minutes didn't see that bad to me? 🤔 Thanks for this review friend. I think I'll keep looking. 👍 ~ Kristine

    • @paddle_hike

      It's a simple stove for sure... Will do the trick BUT with the fuel it takes 5-6 min which is good... Most Alcohol and gas stove will do it in 4 min... 10 is a bit too long but if you don't mind....There's no problem at all... It will work :)

    Salut , j'ai le même à la maison , je l'avais acheté il y a quelques années pour essayer , vu son prix abordable . J'ai été déçu de sa performance avec le combustible recommandé et je l'ai relayé au fond de mon armoire . J'ai quand même apprécié sa solidité comme tu le mentionnais . Je n'ai jamais penser à l'utiliser avec du bois par contre à la façon d'un Bushbox ou Firebox comme tu l'as fait , belle initiative ! Tu aurais dû tester avec une poêle pour voir si 2 oeufs bacon prenait aussi une éternité 🍳🥓 🙄 . Lorsqu'on est dans le bois par contre , le temps est moins important , 10 minutes à entretenir le feu devient un passe-temps agréable. Je me suis acheter depuis 2 UCO flatpack grill and firepit ( le petit et le gros ) et je ne jure que par ça maintenant pour mes randos à pieds et pour le canot camping .
    Merci de la revue !

    • @paddle_hike
      @paddle_hike  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oui, les uco sont super bon... J'utilise majoritairement un petit bruleur à alcohol ou un bruleur à gas maintenant mais je voulais tester celui-ci vue son petit prix et surtout avec du bois. Effectivement, le temps est moin pire rendu dans le bois en relaxant. Merci :)
