One of the biggest reasons behind Arctic Cat not having many significant changes, I believe is Textron getting the brand in better financial shape. Let’s see what happens...
Doesn’t matter what people say ride one and you will see this is hands down the best sled on the market. You don’t need a bigger cc motor and if you do well get ya a silber turbo and hold the frig on .
any issues with your 2019 track lugs splitting where the track is flexing? My 154 alpha has around 10 lugs split and peeling off, all deep snow riding in B.C, 1800kms. The 800 is just fine for now. The new reflash sucks, took my perfectly clean running cat to stumbles and hanging idle especially when running hot. If Cat would redesign the track to make it stand up to the flexing and clean up that latest reflash i would consider buying another.
Nope rocks, stumps and deep powder riding haven't seemed to bother it. Got out last weekend at rabbit ears for early season snow, so far sleds have been tough. Arctic cat has always had tougher A arms.
@@JasonMcMurray so far I haven't heard of any of my stuck up vail buddies having trouble, but to be fair they dont ride all that hard. And the ECM flashing was something I heard of and because of that I had it left on the pervious ECM flash.
I made a mistake guys my uncles 2014 zr 8000 rr got 13k+ miles i spoke to em abput 1 week ago last year he had 11k+ miles we live in Alaska and put on millions of miles and my uncles zr 8000 not 1 engine rebuild just good ole engine warm up and go
RnD isn’t easy. You put effort into certain innovations but can’t tackle everything. That’s why the different companies have different angles on the new tech. Maybe something is in the works, they need time to perfect and have a quality replacement. They might not want to rush an inferior product.
Alpha rails are breaking in big numbers and taking forever to get a new one on warranty. Buddy has broke 2 where bolt goes through the rail and can take 4 or more weeks to get a new one. Cat has a big engineering issue to overcome.
Dude's right, totally different engine, still believe the DI is has more torque on the bottom. But I'll upload a new video with corrections if y'all would like?
Except ski doo has been the leader in design and best platform since they dropped the rev back in 04 and everyone els has been playing catch up for years including the g4 850 being the first and industry leader but the cats are awesome to
@@matisvanasse5905 true is is personal and can be subjective but over all sales number and guys passing the gates and most ride the doo kinda says allot for itself, not that polaris or cat dont make good sleds cuz they do but the brp is most popular and most sold and now first to release a stock turbo model with warranty, they sure make everyone els play keep up while still non stop innovating even in mid season
Why do they need a 850 the Industry is not big enough ppl are having a hard time buying a sled that worth 16,000 Plus tax imagine 850 sled would be worth 18,000$.regulation of carbon smoke is insane stupid, these engine there building they don’t burn oil that the problem.how the fuck do you design a sled that doesn’t burn oil, that doesn’t smoke. The aftermarket kits are the way. If they really want to bring out performance the triples engine are way to go best engines ever built in mankind. But ppl are stupid they wants sled’s that doesn’t smoke 🤦🏽♂️

I agree also it doesn’t keep the extra snow in the track since it’s a single beam.

It the Alpha performs as well or better than the competitors, then why does is need a larger engine?
My turbo Alpha is as capable as my old race gas turbo Axys. I have done more on my Alpha than I dared to do on my Polaris.

@@renegaderiders9289 i agree on overall toughness of the cats. thanks and keep an eye out on other alphas to see how the tracks are holding up.

I bought a 2020 expert 154 3” 20k baby let’s see if it’s any good 🤷🏼♂️ I get it on the Dec 28
update?
Brakeman has a video 165 horsepower for the alpha dyno test
Is the headlight the same on both the 2020 looks different in the video
Same, 2019 has a small windshield

They got rid of direct injection and switched to SDI it’s way different motor. No more hp

Yes I heard the engine has been tweaked with

Duncan White polaris and can should make a single beam system but overall ngl the snowmobile today are similar...
you may be happy with the 2021 2 stroke turbo from factory from cat..
They dont have a factory 2 stroke turbo
Seen three different alphas with hockey stick rails being towed out last year no thanks
No u didnt bro u dont gotta lie to kick it your prolly still on a sit flat sled and groomed trails.
Sorry but those are some budget lookin sleds. Those tunnels & running boards are prehistoric. Get with the now AC.
Don’t buy one then? Some of us care about the way the sled rides more than the aesthetics 🤷🏼♂️
Ya really the running boards r decent
