*THANKS FLO!!* I've just made laksa again using the paste you recommended - which is easily available here in Woolworths - one of our 2 most dominant grocery retailers! That paste is better than many others I've tried. I had tofu puffs in the freezer, some leftover fish, a bit of leftover chicken and WOW - easy, cheap, used up leftover bits - and just D E L I C I O U S ! Quick story - my (Slovenian born) parents used to stay with us here in Sydney to escape the winter months in Toronto and spend time with their only grandchild. On one trip they unexpectedly had a delay in Singapore and were given a meal voucher. Dad LOVED soup and so they blindly ordered a bowl of soupy noodles which they shared and Dad kept raving about it, he had NO IDEA what it was. One night, I decided to make laksa for us all, and the look on his face with the first taste was worth millions - they'd had LAKSA at the airport! Dad was so happy and it's a lovely memory as he passed away 6 years ago at 90. Mum will turn 97 next month. I have been blessed to have them in our lives for so many years, even if the distance has made things hard at times. Cheers and a hug from Oz!!
Dude’s final “goooood” made me laugh! You always make your dishes look like a piece of artwork, Flo! Even shortcut, “I couldn’t be bothered” dishes still look like you devoted hours of effort to make them special. GREAT job! Happy Sunday! TFS, Sharon🤗♥️🍜
Thanks so much for another great meal and another great inspiration for the kitchen, something quick easy and making sure that everyone has something yummy to eat
So glad I stumbled onto the video! While contracting in Malayasia a few years ago, I fell in love with curry laksa. Can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks!
Hi Flo, i just bought myself some laksa curry past, I cant wait to make this 😋💕 Im so glad you told us we can use shrimp instead if fish balls, because I have shrimp but no fish balls 😊 Thank you Flo

I just found one of your videos by accident and loved it. You make it look so easy. I have a question. Can you please do a video for white rice? Lookd like you make alot...to have on hand. That is why I am asking. Thank you for the great recipes
That looks so good! How is it that Dude's taste tests make you hungry even if you just ate? Flo your family is so lucky to get these delicious meals every night but you're setting the standard too high for the rest of us 😆
The only Malaysian paste that I could find here is "pes Kari Ayam" I bought it but I don't know what it tastes like, and how far it is from laksa paste. I also bought the same tofu as I your soup, And also Malaysian eggs, because everyone knows that the hens in Malaysia lay square eggs 😂😂😂😂
Nothing better than a hot bowl of noodles in winter! Happy Sunday! 💕
I agree Flo! Someone said," Eye appeal is half the meal". If that is true then this must be fantastic! Thank you Flo and Dude. God bless you!
That’s one hearty and delicious bowl of soup. Can’t wait to try it thank you Flo ❤
Who doesn't love a cream based soup!
I regret I didn't pay more attention to my mom's cooking when she was still with us, but now I have you Flo - glad I found you.
Thinking the same thing. So grateful to you channel

I have a package of laksa paste on my shelf, along with randang paste, based on your advice, and your MIL’s seal of approval ❤
I love laksa. I am so going to make this next week for sure. Thanks for an amazing recipe. And it looks so simple. Thank you and Happy New Year ❤️

Excellent!
I use Soba and Yakisoba noodles with Laksa. I think I’ll make it with your Laksa paste next time. It looks scrumptious.😊
Looks delicious. Where can I get tofu pockets? I don’t think I’ve seen them before.
They are usually in the refrigerated section at the Asian market with all the other tofu.
@@FloLum I’ll look there but I wonder if I can cut up and fry some regular tofu?
The texture is not the same but you could… would still be yummy. 😋
Looks good. Can you give the recipe for the medium boiled egg, thanks
Sous vide them at 194°F for 8 mins. Perfect medium eggs with fudgey yolks every time!
That looks so good! How is it that Dude's taste tests make you hungry even if you just ate? Flo your family is so lucky to get these delicious meals every night but you're setting the standard too high for the rest of us 😆
Dude u r so lucky!
Tofu pockets? Should those be easy to find at an asian market?? What section would they be -- frozen? Refidgerated section??
Refrigeration section of an Asian market, with all the other tofu.
I hope there's a mild version of the paste.
Those tofu bites look like croutons or chunks of bread !! Hmmm?! Looks good!!
Ooh but texture is so different, they keep their springiness and don’t get soggy and fall apart like bread. You’ll have to try them!
@@FloLum Okay!!!!
Is this a spicy soup? Is the flavour packet from Walmart spicy and if so what level?
Yes, it’s spicy which is why I scooped out some of the chili oil.
Looks tasty, but I don't think i can find the laksa paste in France.
Surely there are Asian supermarkets in France. 🤔
@@FloLum of course there are, and I go frequently , but I never saw this
@@FloLum apparently I can find it online
There are other brands that you could try. Perhaps ask for it the next time you go to the Asian market. They might have it.
That's the biggest measuring cup I've ever seen 😜
👍👍👍👍

Kari Ayam is a good start. It’s not laksa but will still be super flavourful. Kari Ayam is literally curry chicken in Malay. Enjoy!
I did not know fish had balls
🍜🍥🍥🍥🍜✌👍
