I come from a Baba family in Melaka and now that I live in Thailand, I miss laksa so much. Your video made me salivate just watching you prepare it. Am going to check out your other videos and start cooking here! Great job!
Thankyou so much for taking the time to show us how a a real authentic laksa variation is made! There are so many terrible videos claiming that their recipe is an authentic laksa with most of them using some kind of mass produced 'laksa paste' from the super-market. Most of which contain 621, 622, and 623 flavour enhancers. Your recipe looks fresh and vibrant and I am heading straight to the kitchen to make it for dinner. Thankyou for the inspiration and education.
buerne Thank you for the support! It is really a lot of effort but I am glad to feel home away from home :D Hopefully the recipes can make you feel home while being overseas too!
I tried it today. But i used chicken and anchovies stock cubes as i dont have prawn. I love the taste. Really really enjoy it. Thank you for the recipe. 😘😘😘😘
Absolutely excited to hear this! Thank you for trying it out. If you happen to have a photo of the laksa, send us a photo here: www.nyonyacooking.com/recipes/nyonya-laksa
Thank you so much for sharing your yummy recipes!! I'm currently battling terminal cancer, and the only thing I crave are Malay dishes. Especially Laksa. I lived in Sydney, where I had Laksa everyday for lunch, I then lived in London, where I didn't have it for a long time, and now I live in the US, and am craving it again. My husband has gone to buy all the ingredients at an Asian Supermarket. Your instructions are so clear, I really appreciate the effort you have put into making these videos. Thank you
Poshoz, thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate it that you and your husband would give this recipe a try. Please do enjoy every bite of it! Also, do not give up

There is one special Laksa which is AUTHENTIC Nyonya from Thailand which is amazing and can't find it anywhere - have tasted it only once and it's amazing cos many real Penang food were influenced by Thailand. I have Thai relatives and all my aunties wear the Kabaya and are 100% Nyonya. Those so called Laksa from KL to the South of Malaysia are all a joke cos they are really just Curry Noodle.

The first time I tasted laksa I almost cried. Now I travel 1 and 1/2 hours into city jst to have a bowl. It's like visiting a friend.
Wow...a big fan of laksa!
Yep! I never knew coconut could be combined with Chilli like that. I add peanut Chilli oil to amp up the heat but it is a beautiful dish regardless.
Totally understand..I've never tasted anything with so many layers of flavor.
I just have to travel 10mins to eat that
its heaven
