An overview and discussion of this omnibus collection the beginning of Brian Michael Bendis & Mark Bagley's long-lasting, classic collaboration on Ultimate Spider-Man!
I just picked up the Omnibus and am excited to read it. This run brings back so many memories. It was the first Spider-Man comic I ever read and got me into reading Spider-man like JMS run. It isn't perfect; it has some very dated elements and one could argue the fashion aesthetic Mark Bagley chose doesn't line up well with the time. Personally, I really love it being a 90s kid. But this run by Bendis to me will be my second favorite thing he's ever done for Marvel(Daredevil is my number one) and has aged well. Plus, Mark Bagley will always remain my favorite Spider-Man artist alongside Venom.
Hey, nice review as usual ! The Omnibus volume 2 just got released in France and strange thing is that it didn't include the Ultimate Six episodes like it's suppose to I think in the US version.
This is a fantastic overview of a fantastic omnibus. I received mine a few weeks ago and I’m so glad to have it in my collection even though I have all of these issues individually. It makes it a lot easier to reread the series. Looking forward to Volume 2 when it’s released!
@@themutantagenda4737 I probably will, but maybe not as soon as it comes out, there's already plenty of other books I'm planning to get in the next few months
@@TheComicBookTrove Yeah I understand. It’s definitely an expensive hobby. I tried to limit myself to just collecting X-Men and Spider-Man omnibus. But here I am 6 months later with all the Fantastic Four stuff, Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, Eternals, and more lol. It can get addicting if you’re not careful hahaha
@@themutantagenda4737 You can say that again. Started collecting a month ago and I'm up to 20 omni's. Can definitely say its a fun and rewarding hobby but definitely costly in the long run. Learned to plan out releases and budget myself cause my backlog grew too fast lol
Awesome reviews! My first entry into comics was USM. I Started a year ago with USM and read 1-27 with the ultimate collections, However 3rd was obscenely overpriced. So excited to keep reading this series!
That's really cool, I think this is such an accessible series, it's ideal for anyone who's never read any Spidey, Marvel or comics in general just as much as long time comic readers! Glad to hear you had fun reading those initial issues, I assure you it stays just as good if not better from that point onwards!

I'm glad marvel re-released this. I'm definitely adding it to my collection
And great that there's a second volume confirmed, hopefully there'll be further volumes and we can get the whole series collected in omnis!
