Totally agree with you Bill 👍 about the informal planting and the wild flowers too, all beautiful. Shaldon is like a lot of smaller villages (our own for instance, but without the holiday homes), too many olds and not enough young uns. Young folk can't afford to live away from bigger towns for lots of reasons, hopefully this can now be eventually put right. Thanks Bill (lol at the brain f*rt btw 😅).
Yes, its a real shame to hear that Shaldon isn't as prosperous as it once was, but its all part of the changing times I suppose - But the wild flowers are a relatively new idea, and seem to be working out a real treat - Cheers Pooky-Cat - See you tomorrow 👍👍👍
Hi Bill, interesting about Shaldon , times of change not always for the better are they. Loving the AI Centaur. I hope you’ve got your leak sorted, homeserve are pretty good and I think you can claim for escaped water on your house insurance. 👍👍👍🙂🙂.
Thanks Linda - Yes the AI stuff is fascinating to me! Still waiting on Homeserve to come and start - They have been round, but its a big job that needs a 'Crew' - EEEKKK!!! 👍👍👍
Hello Bill lovely walk and ferry trip so sad to hear about Shaldon and it's demise 😢thank you for the then and nows the AI fascinates me lovely 😊I'm pleased your stop cock is all sorted too. I've not got a stop cock instead I've had just a switch like a light switch inside my cupboard under the sink this is because of my failing eyesight jolly good idea though. I wish you the best of luck with all the upheaval Bill I certainly dont envy you . Well Bill take care see you tomorrow ❤😊xx
Hi Pam, yes, as I just said to Pooky-Cat, Its a real shame to hear that Shaldon isn't as prosperous as it once was, but its all part of the changing times I suppose - Still waiting on the 'upheaval'. Such a large job (I think) that they are taking their time to plan it all out before turning up - A switch sounds a great idea! Cheers Pam, see you tomorrow 👍👍👍
Good to bump into you today Bill on the sea wall. Was only visiting Teignmouth and Dawlish for a few hours, staying just outside Paignton, so quite lucky. Really enjoy your walks. Best Regards. Stephen
Yes, nice to meet you too Stephen - I met another couple shortly afterwards as well - Apparently, I was also sighted in Lidls earlier 😂😂😂 Catch you next time 👍👍👍
Hi Bill, I'm glad you have found the source of the leak and you're getting it sorted out. I suppose the best way to see how many Shaldonians arestill living there is to go over on a nice winters day and see how many people are out and about. See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍
Oh Bill, I hope that's a typo defiantly doing Shaldon trips in the winter, or are you just being pessimistic after the rubbish summer we're having now. 😂😂😂😂
It’s depressing about Shaldon , I’ve had the same conversation with a resident. Should have had some form of charter , to say only people who lived locally over a period of time could purchase property in the village . Our young families are being forced out and that’s not good. Have a good day
Its not very nice walking across walking across Shaldon bridge on a wet and windy winters day. The buses stop just after 8pm. If you wanted to go for a drink after work in Exeter then jump on the train well its taxi time. There are a few nice pubs in Shaldon but I suspect they do not really cater for single 20 somethings. You could certainly work from home there but then why not Teignmouth where cheaper or somewhere like Starcross where there is better transport. If they taxed the AirBB it would lower the price of housing making it easier for young people to rent or buy but the present owner occupiers would be upset. I suppose they could introduce a tax on them that goes up yearly from a low point so that they are sold off slowly.
Hah ha ! Yes - Random trip for bread and milk after being let down by the late arrival of Sir Nigel! Never mind - That was me though, so you know for next time 👍👍👍
I always say for people to wave at me - Seriously. I am so used to having my earbuds in, I don't hear people, but if I get waved at, Ive become accustom to responding to a wave - If you waved at someone that wasn't me, they would just think you were waving at someone else 👍
Another cracking production! love the flowers @3:06!!!
Thank you Shane - Cheers! 👍👍👍
Nice to get a quick update through Shaldon. 'Interesting' the next five years😼. 😺
Interesting indeed Trev... 👍

Thanks Barry 👍

It IS spooky David - But also fascinating as well - Cheers mate 👍👍👍
Would absolutely love to buy a property in Shaldon & live there permanently. Sadly without a lottery win, that is just a dream😑
