      @@davidkavanagh189absolutely was not a poorly managed famine. The lib dems left the free market open knowing full well the loss of life it was going to cause. Taxing donations from abroad, even turning down huge donations from the sultan of turkey. There was enough food in ireland to feed the country 4 times over, so there was no famine, it was genocidal.

    Remember all those who have had to emmigrate, including the cream of the crop the highly educated qualified young , scooped up ,as they couldn't get work in their own country and those not being paid a decent wage who have had to emmigrate !!! Remember the homeless Irish and those who can't get a doctors or hospital appointment ! Remember the women and children who don't feel safe walking their own streets or the elderly or vulnerable feeling unsafe in their own homes and on and on and on..... Remember Ireland's history and plantations !!

    Don't forget Mary that over 1 million people starved to death and another 1 million were Forced to leave Ireland. The trauma of the Famine inflicted on the Irish people by the British elite has not been addressed.

    What has the election of Mary Robinson got to do with the LGBTQ ‘community’?
    It’s not a ‘community’. I’m a gay man, I am not part of this ‘community’ and I’m old enough and grey enough to remember Mrs Robinson election. Yes, it was somewhat groundbreaking but not for me as a young gay man at the time. Why am I being lumped in with this?

    Let's remember the Famine and today's migrants are in nothing in comparison and quite hilarious I must add. We never saw Irish people be housed, Given free citizenship nor handed free healthcare, Must I add even accommodations when they fled to the United States, UK and Australia. Irish people did everything themselves and worked by themselves. Nor were they part of an agenda known as mass immigration that News talk loves to promote. This video is just a political agenda to justify mass immigration and multiculturalism. Neither have worked and it's been shown throughout history, People seem to forget History.

    • @brianbeag
      @brianbeag 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

      Absolutely correct. The conflation of An Gorta Mór and the current migration situation is wrong in so many ways. Even if one accepts the legitimacy of every migrant arriving in Ireland, which is certainly not the case, Ireland cannot be a ‘sponge’ for uncontrolled numbers of migrants. The primary responsibility of any government is to its own people, the current situation exemplifies the polar opposite.

      You need to read some history! The Irish were demonised over the decades and centuries as a group even more than immigrants are demonised today in Ireland.
      Thankfully only the minority dish out the same bigotry that their forefathers endured!

      You are 100% correct. Just trying to push multiculture. We owe those migrants nothing. They are people with nothing to do or will never do anything. They love all the hand outs from Irish gov n the gov treat Irish people like 2nd class citizens.

    • @cutice

      @Caboose_117 can I just add that the ones that remained are the ancestors of us that are here now. Those that left have American or wherever descendents. My ancestors stayed through the hardship, they remained and worked hard to build this country. Because Irish people left this country doesn't mean we have to take people into it, the people here are here because we didn't leave. The people here didn't emigrate, they don't owe anything to anyone because 'they were emigrants themselves' - no they weren't.

In my opinion, it sounds extremely interesting covering her life stories from childhood to elderly generation. Her public life and what our country Ireland 🇮🇪 and the planet Especially climate changes everywhere. I am a mature lady 56 years old who only in the last two years have started paying attention to the political parties' world and local news since coming home from London 1995 early retirement due to mental health issues and mobility issues ,which I am receiving a lot of help from public and private sectors Especially Sinn Fèin MLA covering various projects in mental health. Is she okay to foot the bill then pay for all their accommodation and meals and travel or is she only okay with migrants as long as the tax payer foots the bill. People don't have a problem with migration they have a problem with people arriving and been handed everything for free while we struggle and our own are on the streets
