@ColtonHaines-k8z Yes, a 3 year apprenticeship program is 2 months of school a year, and the rest is on the job working. I would say that after being licensed for 2 years after the program, I would be confident in most repairs
The body filler is applied at about 1/8 thickness, then gets sanded down. If I had to guess, I would say the thickest part of the filler would be about 1/8. And yes, what you're seeing at the end is right through the body filler and is the base metal.

Hey man would u ever consider doing a tool box tour ? Im a autobody apprentice and woud like to know which right tools to buy.
Yes, definitely! I will make time. Are you more interested in the tools or equipment as well? As in spot welders, mig welders, plastic welders etc..
@@AUTOBODYTECH I’m interested in the tools like a tool box tour. But I wouldn’t mind seeing equipment also.
Too cool
The toolbox tours channel has a couple body techs boxes on there.
@@aaadamt964 I’ve seen all of them lol.
Looks really good, did you go to school or go through an apprenticeship? And how long did it take for you to get this good?

What is the blue circular magnetic device attached to the quarter panel around 58 seconds into the video?
Outstanding!
Glad you like it!
great work
Many thanks!
Nice work, though the filler did seem a bit thick towards the end. Is that typical or just because of all the dimpling from the tack pulls?
betting the final thickness never exceeded 1/8 inch
@@55classic1 If that..........

Great job good skills
Wouldn't it be cheaper and faster to replace the quarter panel skin?
It's definitely not cheaper or faster
