Thank you. Very informative. I am going do a quarter on a Tucson next week and this video kind of sums up how I was planning on doing it, except I have a used panel.
Thanks! I don't remember the exact hours, but a typical quarter panel replacement pays about 16 hours on average. The full job start to finish, probably paid about 30. I get paid on a flat rate system
@ I was going to buy one to wack back 2 large dents on my rear quarter side panel I'm glad I didnt I took it to a local bodyshop and they charge me $200 just to straighten it. Im going to do the rest of the bondo and paint
Learning metal work now. Just finished putting a quarter skin in a 72 lemans. How do you keep the metal from warming when you’re welding so close together? I get the footage is sped up but it seems like even when I jump around to spots 1.5ft apart it still gets way too hot.
Have you tried just doing 1 tack at a time? It seems you are doing everything correctly. I'm doing a video on this, should be out tomorrow. maybe there will be something in it that you could benefit from
Love these videos! Keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
Brilliant job
Love the content of your workmanship

I’ve never seen such a small spot welder! Ours is like a bazooka, too heavy
It's the pro spot phs-101. It's battery-operated, and only the really big arm attachment is quite heavy
