I subscribe to Dennis Collins channel as well, he goes and rescues valuable musclecars with a good story and he found a 70 RS car that was green with white stripes, 4 speed, all the rightthings, and the patina on it was fantastic and amde me feel things.... that's what inspired the question... I agree, it's my car, and I can do what I want with it, and I'm not building it for anyone else... it's more of a conversation piece at this point, and I really enjoy the conversation with guys like you that watch the channel. Cars mean different things to us, but they all mean something to us! It's a cool world we live in! Thanks for being here.
@@paintucation Totally agree and thanks. Can't wait for the next video.
With all the work your putting in please paint. It's your car though do what makes you happy
Good stuff Kevin. I really enjoy your channel and the positive attitude is contagious, only three swear words in this episode, love it! Thanks Pal.
My humble opinion is that a "custom " such as this deserves shiny paint.
I'm old school yet have the best taste ever and I say no lowering and no patina in 9/10 cases. 👌🏿👍🏽
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of sheet metal and how to return it to its previous location. I can see every swing of the hammer was intentional.
I say no to the patina, cherry that baby out with all the work you're doing to it. Plus it only has 54k miles on it!
Doing what you do best. Paint it proper. No patina.
I agree this is what it's all about .Get it right, right now or the lack of workmanship will haunt you as you try to move forward.I have really enjoyed this segment about auto archaeology.
On the next episode we will find out if Kevin gets his foot out of the floor, or will this be the end of a Kevin! Stay t7ned to find out Kevin’s fait!! Lmao
Great job! Full paint on this one.
Learning different things each episode. Loving the build on this Camaro. Thanks for sharing 😊
Hey Kevin, glad I'm watching this on Sunday, as that Camaro has a holey floor, thanks for all the entertainment from Australia.
Thanks Mate!!
I totally LOVE this build brother!!! I’ve ALWAYS wanted to swap a fronted on one of these! Looks awesome man! Love it, love it! Keep on keeping on!
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Kevin the seat belts are the same as my 1976 Cutlass S 442 model G37 . 🍩☕️👀😎👍
This is fascinating. I am glad you said your committed to see this project to the end. I am anxiously waiting for the next video on this car. I hope you are doing a full paint job. Going as far as you have stripping it down I don't know why you wouldn't do a full paint restoration
Nice work, Kevin. I’m a Camaro lover myself. Your greatest inspiration and motivation for us to do it yourself or keep up the great work.
21:36 I've been watching Kevin since he refurbished a airstream trailer on I believe pbs channel no complaints keep on keeping on
I love these 2nd gen cars, especially the Firebird. I owned a 79 then later an 80, and those doors have to be amongst the heaviest in automotive history lol. I'm really enjoying this series Kevin, thanks for sharing!
It’s impressive to see someone do the work to bring this antique back to life. Looking forward to seeing the progress and hopefully the finished product.
No no no don't do the patina thing!!!! Unless it's all looking like it maybe, but as you said new panels and parts just do a down and dirty flat or mat finish paint job, you'll be much Happier with it 😊💯👍
