Love this and already am thinking about how I want to use it. Think it would be fun to add some metallic thread in there too. Thanks for this video, perfect as always! ☺️❤️
This technique was a game changer for me for foundation rows! I'd love to see a video from you showing how to turn and start the second row, for single and double crochet. I worked it out, but I wonder if there's a better way.
I love these... I have found they also work great for a foundation row... but you do have to watch your tension when using it for this... Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hey, this is great to start your basic rows on patterns. I am doing a turkey plastic bag holder and I started the pattern off with this stitch, it gave a much better finish look to the starting of the pattern. It made the start look really professional and no bulky knots that had to be hidden. I will be using this stitch to start all my blankets, and my amigurumi projects. Thank you for sharing this helpful stitch. I also made a lanyard using this style and was able to swap the colors around without having to cut my yarn.
Thank you so very much for showing it with 2 colors. I need some long cords. This looks wonderful but I did not want to have to try to figure out how long off a tail I needed. Thank you again.
Hello! I just tried it and was successful, to my surprise. After this, I decided to try and use the small cord I made as I would a regular chain to start some random work. It made really nice edge, and the end of tĥe tail disapeared in the first row. As I was wondering how long à tail I would have to keep when starting à very long piece, I realised that would just have to work it the same way you did with the 2 colour cord. Thank you for posting this!
Yes, definitely, I've done it many times. And the other side of it is more "flat" so it sits on shoulders nicer, as opposed to a purely round cord that sort of rolls off things.
Do you mean the yarn is splitting into strands when you work? If so, that might be something with the yarn and nothing you can control (some yarn just does that). If not, can you explain in detail what's happening?
Hi this is great thank you, I would like to know what a North Dakota CAD is and how do you do it, if you please help me with this I would appreciate it.
I've never heard of a North Dakota CAD with regards to crochet. However, I'm thinking perhaps you've come across a Spanish pattern that somehow got melded in with some English terms. CAD might be referring to "cadena" in Spanish, which in English would be called a chain CH stitch in crochet. And the ND part I don't believe means North Dakota. I think it might be proceeded by a number, such as 2, to mean 2nd or "second." So 2 ND CAD in a crochet pattern might mean do something in the "second chain."
Hi, I'm new to crochet and I'm learning a single chain. I'm doing well but how can I control the tension, i noticed my chain look loose and tight in some areas. Can I hold the working yarn with the pinky too? Also I'm going to try the double next, it looks easy ❤
Hello again, I figured out another way to keep my yarn tension in place, after you wrap it around the pink, I bring the end up and wrap over top of the ring finger and under the middle finger then back over the index finger. I figured this out by just playing around and I just pull the yarn at the ringer finger to make the tension tighter. Lol
Hello Naztazia Thank you so much for this video very nice crochet, i need some help in crochet if you can help thanks How can i ask you for my pattern let me know thanks
Using thicker chunky yarn I found that the ears didn't lay flat. I have decided just try and crochet the same shape but only one sided. Did anyone else experience the same problem with the chunky yard?
That one is a traditional i-cord. You can both knit one and crochet one. I have a both a knitted tutorial and crochet tutorial. If you are looking for the crochet version, here it is: th-cam.com/video/mZ5nspCDZXc/w-d-xo.html
I would say change the mantra to over -under ….by throwing the yarn over the hook front to back then throwing the yarn over the hook back to front. Over- under. So much easier.
Aren't these neat?
Yes my bb
Great viewing with the camera placement!
Yes, super cute and so many ways to use them. I'm going to make one for my watch band to hold the other band in place. Thank you Natazia ❤️
They really are. Thank You 😊
Yes, I have been using it in all of my crochet work now. It makes the starting chain so much easier to see lol
I should've watch this before making my bags🥲
Love this and already am thinking about how I want to use it. Think it would be fun to add some metallic thread in there too. Thanks for this video, perfect as always! ☺️❤️
That would be cool!
Great idea! Thank you!!🧡
Thank you Donna for explaining a yarn under. I have seen it in other videos and just couldn't get it right. I think I can now. Hugs
Glad it was helpful!

Exactly!

Very cute thank you so much
You’re welcome 😊
Hi. Just discovered your channel today. I’m loving it! Thanks ❤. Am I overlooking the instructions for the flowers you show here? 💐💐
Love how this cord looks! You make it look so easy 😊. Do you think it’s sturdy enough to work as a strap on crocheted cropped/tank tops?
Yes, definitely, I've done it many times. And the other side of it is more "flat" so it sits on shoulders nicer, as opposed to a purely round cord that sort of rolls off things.
@@naztazia Perfect! I’m going to use this next time. Thanks so much for your reply!!!
TY!
Love this!! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
This terminology was no me and I’ve crocheted for more than 60 years. You teach a lot of good information.😅
Happy to help!
I love this ❤

I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY YARN COMING APART WHEN STARTING MY CHAIN. ANY SUGGESTIONS? TU FOR YOUR VIDEOS. I ALWAYS LEARN SOMETHING 💕 🙏

Thank you@@naztazia I'm trying to make the Rowdy Bunny and I'm not understanding half of the pattern.
Wow

Yes absolutely! In knitting, which the i-cord originates from, many of us, including myself, do use the pinky to control the working yarn tension.
