    Congratulation Mommy Dear !
    Can you please let us know any different between using 10FT line chart test at 10FT and 20FT line chart test at 20FT
    to test a child with myopia ?

      Thank you! While the idea of a home eye chart may be nice, there are several problems with it. The child can easily memorize the order of the letters. Parents may be fooled to think their child can see clearly when the child is simply reciting letters they have memorized. I personally think it is best to leave the checking of vision and eye health to the optometrist.

    Congratulations! I'm an aspiring pre-opto in a science degree at Western University, but due to covid, I wasn't able to interact with many optometrists, and I would greatly appreciate if you could answer two questions! Would you recommend being optometrist in the gta and do you think it will be a great career for years to come? Thanks and I LOVE your content!

      Thank you for your support! As much as I love being an optometrist in the GTA, we have our struggles. You can learn about it in the following link:

      As I have met more and more people who have provided services in my personal and professional life, I truly believe that you will excel in whatever you do IF you are passionate about it. When you are, not only you, but others will be blessed by it too! To be a passionate optometrist, I think you have to love connecting with and helping people. I wish you all the best!

    congrats!! , i have one question I think I have eye strain and have limited screen time and it’s been 3 days and It hasn’t gone away , so I’m wondering how long eye strain lasts?

    • @mommydear
      @mommydear  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks!! Eye strain stemming from use of screens usually resolves shortly after taking a break. If your symptoms persist even after that, I suspect there is something more at play. Best to have it checked out by your optometrist rather than leave your symptoms unaddressed!
