Thanks for a reasonable video that doesn't say run to the eye doctor immediately. I think mine has occurred either due to allergies or nasal congestion or sweat getting in my eyes. All this because I've been running outside and it's been very hot and I noticed my eyes have been burning when sweat gets in my left eye. I hope it heals on it's own hopefully when the weather gets cooler. I know with eyes it can take a while to heal. As long as it doesn't get worse I'll feel better about recovering.

I have chronic light sensitivity to artificial light not sun light. I have to drive old cars with old dashboards cause I can’t have digital dashboards, also I cannot have anything newer than the iPhone 8 because the rest give me migraines, I lost my car sales job 3 years ago because of this, I have been checked at the hospital but they couldn’t find anything wrong with my eyes…

Use blue light blocking films for your electronic devices, get a neurolens , Thera specs and blue light blocker eyeglasses. Use your electronic devices with a red tint (on color settings) - supplement with Lutein, Astaxsantin.

thank you for this video! I had severe sudden sensitivity to light before my periods sometimes. is that because it makes your eyes more dry?

Hi Doctor, are these eye conditions more common in the adults than kids? Thank you.

    • @mommydear

Although I have seen the eye conditions in both adults and children, they are generally more common in adults because they have more risk factors (e.g. contact lens wearing, excessive screen viewing, onset of autoimmune disorders, etc).

@@msc-c9z well that is good. There are very good antihistamine eye drops or tablets. I am not a doctor but always good to take your doctor’s advice. It is not easy for someone to diagnose in TH-cam.

ALSO, add undiagnosed Glaucoma to the list of reasons for extreme photophobia.

Thank you for the video. Since I got sick with COVID-19 in April 2022, I’ve developed extreme light sensitivity. I can’t handle daylight or even bright indoor lights without wearing sunglasses, so I’ve basically been living in a dark room ever since. I've seen an eye doctor, but they couldn’t find anything wrong. They prescribed Artelac Hypromellose eye drops, but I haven’t noticed any improvement. Do you have any insights or suggestions that could help with this sensitivity?
