I did this float in 2023. It’s amazing how much is burnt in the Bob. I was shocked and pretty saddened at the lack of forests from recent (last decade or so) fires. Also bummed at the amount of horse traffic and the 4inch deep trail dust that caked my shoes for the whole 18 mile hike in. Super fun fighting for camps as the armadas floated by. I’m done with the Bob, moving trip planning to Alaska with fingers crossed. Anybody got any Alaska trip tips?
wicked.....god bless summertime dry fly sessions for cutthroat trout.....it truly is a very very special thing....for those of us fortunate enough to pursue this experience .....well....... the collective grin and sparkling eyes , says it all......
I have watched this a bunch of times, so good, Thank you! youtube needs more of this and less of the brotuber, spotburning, flying a drone in the wilderness BS.
Really enjoyed this video...unique... I know the effort and time you put into this to get some of the shots and in post editing. Color saturation a bit high in a couple of scenes but wow...kudos to you guys for filming and editing this fine content! Bob
Beautiful trip, I was on the MF out of Schafer this past summer. What was your route? Looks like Meadow Creek Gorge at the end of your footage, is that correct? I’m planning a trip over Youngs putting in at Youngs Creek next summer - interested in any beta.
That’s some really beautiful green, blue and many nice looking wild colors. Great job capturing that. Guessing you used a G series Sony 24 to 70 maybe what body was it? What setting do you record the video in and is it raw and just one big drop of a lut or is it in camera colors?
Thanks! It is incredibly vibrant country up there. We used G series glass and Canon L series glass with sony A9 and 6300. We shot log profile and color corrected in post.
@@theprovobros Wow,that is epic, you let me know sometime and I will be there and go. I will help film you or carry stuff, cook, etc.. I’d be glad to do it.
Fantastic video. Everything looks amazing until I see you sleeping on a gravel bed with a z-lite. I don't hate myself that much. None of that is fun if I don't get any sleep😂.
Beautiful cinematography in a stunning setting nicely done thanks for taking us along.
Incredible job guys. Can’t wait for the next.
Beautiful! Well done!
That was quite a wood jam, love those rocky mountain spotted cutts. Would love to see that part of Montana some day, beautiful.
Wow. Phenomenal videography, editing, jams - and trout! Love it and well done!
Such a great video
Great video guys. I really enjoyed it. I was in Glacier this summer and experienced Montana for the first time. What a place.
Spectacular country. Glad you enjoyed it

Great video! What sandals is homie wearing? I ultralight and fly fish up in the Cascades and am looking for a sandal like that.
Those are Bedrock sandals. The best sandals in my opinion

That is correct. We started near Ovando, MT and went south to north in almost a straight line for a eighty miles or so.
One of best edits I’ve seen

Great scenery and fishing. Thanks for sharing.

Anyway

Awesome video, great trip. Is this the Bob White Loop or a route of your own?
this was a thru hike/float which originated at the southern end of the complex. Thanks!

what camera gear you running? I’ve got any olympics em1 i got for fishing pics. How do you get the underwater shots? GoPro?
It looks like it was nice to get away from people I'm from Florida and that's a hard thing to do anymore here
Sure is nice. The everglades have some wild country, no?
Such a good video
ahh never mind man, looked up your ig and didn’t know you were a pro. Ignore the camera questions I am just a regular guy haha
haha, all good! We used sony cameras and gopros on this trip
If you’re gonna go packrafting in the wilderness, it’s necessary to have a few safety meetings
Agreed. A well stocked first aid kit is essential.
Nice
I can't wait until I hire a guide to do that. Want to do things? Keep them to yourself.

walk hard, sleep hard. Thank you!
Nice film quality. That said, would be nice if you didn't share with the world WHERE you do this.
Thank you. Apologies for blowing out the zone.
