How on earth can this video have over 167k views, but you have less than 36k subscribers? I don’t understand why people won't hit that subscribe button. I've been cheering for this channel to grow. Nobody on YT puts out this quality of work. As always, well done. I send my best wishes to you all for the Christmas season

Have been waiting a while for your next video to drop and definitely not disappointed. Great as ever. Very sorry to hear about Hugo, I hope he’s still with you. I’m sure he’s given you 13 years of unconditional love and companionship but unfortunately it looks as if he’s in the last leg of his journey. Having worked in video production for the past 30 years, and taking up backcountry canoe tripping/camping just a few years ago, I can fully appreciate your channel with it's ultra high production value. You've really come a long way with your production skills, to the point your films deserved to be carried by the likes of Netflix! Would you be able to tell me what the orchestral music piece is at the very end. I'm obsessed with this piece now, and would love to do a guitar cover of it. Thanks so much!!
Well I don’t think we could ask for a nicer comment than this one. That’s high praise. Thank you very much for writing this. Glad you’ve been getting into canoe tripping…..it’s addicting! The song at the end is called “liminal by Katharine Petkovski”. She’s got some beautiful recordings. Thanks again and happy paddling 🛶 🎸
That was a fantastic video of an amazing trip. Thank you for sharing your journey in such a beautiful way 😊 Every time Keenan says “Gorgeous” you have to do a shot! 🥃 🤣 If I had my life to live over (I’m way too old now), that area would absolutely be on my bucket list along with the Yukon and, specifically, the Tobiatic Wilderness Area in the Canadian Maritimes.
Wouldn’t the at be quite the game 🥃. I’m just starting to edit a fishing trip I went on with my dad and man did I ever say gorgeous a lot 😂. Thanks so much for the nice comment as always.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ... This is so funny, I'm the subscriber who wrote a few days ago....(the crybaby when watching you propose to Ashley). Such a wonderful video . This lake has been on our bucket list for kayak camping ..and just moved up a few spots . Love your enthusiasm for fishing and the wildlife. !
Breathtaking footage. Nothing more relaxing than the sound of the loons in the early morning. I dream of getting footage of moose one day on one of my adventures in Northern Québec. I saw black bears but only saw moose tracks. I really enjoyed this video. Great work on the editing!
Never anything but awe and wonder with your trips with your wife and beautiful companions. Wildlife spectacular and the loons and fish breathtaking. Miss my canoe trips with my husband since he passed. Living vicariously thru you
Such a true pleasure as always to sit down and chill out with a new film from you. Just got home from work after a 12 hour shift and poured me a Single Malt, sat down and just relaxed with your newest adventure. Thx for taking your time and let us join you guys :)

This was such an amazing film. You are an incredible filmmaker. The story, the up close videos of the wildlife, and all the fish that both you and Ashley caught!!! I love how Betty Lou always whines when you catch a fish. Honestly, the whole film was brilliant. I can’t wait until your next one. Thank you for all the effort you put into these videos. It is very much appreciated.
Love it . . .and Hugo with the red baseball cap on his head. That made my day 😊 !!!!! Wish I seen more personal interaction between ya'll and daily chores, ya know, ADL'S (activities of daily living. ) Still, absolutely amazing video. . . .love Kennan, Ashley , Betty Lou , and praying for Hugo !!!!
You create video works of art. I deeply envy all your adventures and all the beautiful lakes and scenery and nature you capture. Keep these videos coming I wish I could do what you and your wife do. I enjoy nature and canoeing very much Thank you best videos on TH-cam hands down well done.
Beautifully done! Hugo is very lucky to have a family that will take a less strenuous trip so that he could still join. The storms look wild up there. Great to see your videos up here again!
Hey Steph. Thank you! The storms were nuts there. Literally almost every day and you’d watch them come in for hours. Hope you had a great summer on the water. We’ve got some catching up to do on your videos. Hope you’re doing well. 🛶 🎥
What an epic trip and as always, such a pleasure to watch. You guys capture all the beauty there is in your environment so expertly, it is like I am there. I know this because I get goose bumps just watching the wildlife and scenery you film. Hope Hugo's health issues continue to be resolved and glad to see Lou hasn't lost her love for fishing and had such a good fishing trip on Reindeer Lake. haha! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next adventure. :) :)
Oh, my, what an awesome video, wow, what an incredible trip. Keenan and Ashley, wow. In spite of all the rain and storms, the sunset and sky scenes were amazing. It was pleasurable to get to watch it. The fishing is unreal. So much can be said about this video, your trip. Thank you so much for this video. ❤❤❤.
Thanks Kennan and Ash! Always looking forward to see where you've gone the past summers. Also stoked to see an upper crust You Tuber showing what Saskatchewan has.
I have just discovered this channel and stumbled upon this amazing film. I really can't put in to words what an amazing watch this has been for me. The scenery, narration and music complement each other so well. It was a totally spellbinding watch for someone who will never visit this part of the world let alone get in a canoe! Many, many thanks for sharing your adventure here and I will certainly be catching up with your other videos on your channel. Best wishes from the U.K.
Ah well that’s really nice of you to write this comment. Glad we could bring you along in the canoe through a beautiful part of Canada. Thanks again for watching and leaving this comment. 🇨🇦 🇬🇧
I always wondered what this lake really looked like. Seems like the perfect area for you to get Bruno out for more relaxed adventure. Thanks for letting us get a close up view of such beautiful place. I'm so thankful that you posted just before our US holiday and wonderful escape from what's going on here. I really enjoyed all your hard work and talent capturing this!
Exceptional video! Loved it! Thank you so much for sharing. Amazing fishing, especially for the elusive-to-me lake trout. 🤣 The scenery and wildlife were spectacular and very well filmed. I appreciate you and Ashley sharing your insights through the narration and in-trip commentary. It was great to see the smaller insects and flowers you included on your layover days - very cool addition! The storms were also well captured, especially the sounds, making it even more real for me. Thank you for adding another dream destination to my wish list!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the macro stuff. We weren’t sure how that would go over but we’re glad you appreciate it. Thanks again for the nice comment.

Prisoner of the North
I'm a prisoner of the north,
Where once the ancient people trod,
Theres a sense of such great power,
In the North; I know it's God,
Its beauty, sounds, and vistas,
Granite cliffs, a turquoise bay,
Holds me willingly a prisoner,
As through its land I make my way
.
Where the loon, the moose, the otter, majestic eagles and the bear,
Thrill me endlessly when spotted,
Every time when I am there,
Those mighty trout are "gorgeous",
I get "buck fever" as I fish,
Yes, we'll return, my wife and I,
Its in our blood, it is our wish.

Such a wonderful video . This lake has been on our bucket list for kayak camping ..and just moved up a few spots . Love your enthusiasm for fishing and the wildlife. !
It would be a great place to explore in a kayak. So much water and all of those islands. Amazing. Thanks very much for the comment and happy paddling!
Breathtaking footage. Nothing more relaxing than the sound of the loons in the early morning. I dream of getting footage of moose one day on one of my adventures in Northern Québec. I saw black bears but only saw moose tracks. I really enjoyed this video. Great work on the editing!
Thanks so much. We have no doubt you’ll get some incredible moose footage. It’s only a matter oftentimes time!
Never anything but awe and wonder with your trips with your wife and beautiful companions. Wildlife spectacular and the loons and fish breathtaking. Miss my canoe trips with my husband since he passed. Living vicariously thru you
We are so sorry for your loss. Thank you for the kind words. We love to share our adventures with people like yourself.

Thanks Kennan and Ash! Always looking forward to see where you've gone the past summers. Also stoked to see an upper crust You Tuber showing what Saskatchewan has.
We were extremely happy to showcase Saskatchewan. We’ve loved it from our first visit to grasslands in the south. Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks! We've missed making them too.
Thanks, it is a very special place and we are very glad you enjoyed the video!
