I picked this one to watch because you could tell she was in character just from the still photo that accompanied the video.I think she has a fantastic voice. The introduction to this song is one of the hardest Broadway tunes to sing. She more than did it justice.I hope she continued with her singing.Shes got perfect pitch.
I was fortunate enough to star in this show while in college. I'm an alto. I must say, the song is much prettier when a soprano this good does it. I had to rely on the comedy of the lyrics to pull it off successfully, resulting in Guenevere being a little less innocent and a little more . . . bratty? Selfish? Regardless, the audience still liked her, so it was fine. But the innocence invoked by singing these lyrics beautifully and innocently, as a soprano, is much better.
this one really enjoyed being a woman and singing very well indeed considering the past performers of this song. i am not sure which came first, the woman or the song.
I have to sing this for a school play and let me just say... while I liked this song at first... I know hate it cause the notes are so hard to hit for me lol (even though I'm a soprano)
i think she should have put her own spin on the character rather than doing a, might i say, very good impression of julie andrews. just make to make it her own
I don't know.....the whole point of this brilliant song is that she is a maiden--and is talking about men killing themselves for her-as if its a normal everyday part of life and she should carry herself so, without the play swordfighting and hopping around and such. She should always stay poised--Barbara Cook did an excellent example of this. Otherwise, a nicely sung performance.
what a boring choice in this day and age. Basically she's a child who has been sold to a man and now she doesn't get to have the childhood/adolescence she always dreamed of.

I'm singing this right now... it's such a fun piece to work with!!
She's amazing! I really see her as a perfect portrayal of Guinevere! She's energetic, she's sarcastic, she's young!
Absolutely excellent.
