I am SO HAPPY you are doing better and your weight loss journey is going well. I lost 45lbs after getting sick last March. I had gotten toxic and nearly lost my life. I had been in the hospital 2 months and couldn’t walk. It was like my body cldnt remember how to walk. I spent another month in rehab receiving physical therapy and taking care of my wounds that i had. My life has been a mess since my husband passed away. I am SOOO BLESSED,,, My children have been taking care of me. I am temporarily living with my oldest daughter and I am walking good now. I’m still working on my balance and longevity in standing and walking. I’m Greatful to our dear Lord Jesus for carrying me through this time that I sometimes feel like i don’t even know who that person is looking at me in the mirror. But Just knowing I have Jesus on My side,,, I Know that I Know HE HOLDS MY HAND 🙏☦️♥️

Glad to see you are doing better. I'm a diabetic too. Hope when you start back to cooking that incorporate some of the meals you are eating to control diabetes. Thank you for being you.
Your hair looks great! You look so young! Sorry about your health struggles. A couple of things I've learnt from my mum concerning diabetes is not to do keto. If you do, when you eat carbs, your sugar will spike high. Also, if you like potatoes, cook them, then leave them in the fridge overnight. Eat them the next day and your sugar won't spike so high. 😊 Take care! ❤

Bless your heart Darlene,my daughter had trigeminal neuralgia I know from her how painful she only had it on her right side.she had surgery with complications but it was due to the fact she produces to much cerebral fluid had to have a shunt put in permanently she is doing great on that aspect.but could use lot of prayers that was in 2015.she was diagnosed with MS this past month and lupus starts infusions in weeks to come soon as ins.gets right lol .love those ins.companys.so good to see you and your smiling face.love your hair mine was long for many yrs I'm 64 now I cut mine same as yours when I was about 58 and I loved it it's lot shorter now .kept going back cut it more each time the grey in your hair is beautiful girls are paying 100s to have there hair that color and it's natural for us😂.My prayers are with you and your healing process.God Bless ❤️🙏🙏

It is wonderful to have you back, Darlene! I have been a subscriber for over a year but don’t comment a lot. You are brave and so thoughtful to come here and share with us all that you’ve been going through. Thank goodness you listened to your body and sought some answers. I don’t blame you for refusing the diabetes medications that doctors are so quick to prescribe. I have 2 friends who have had numerous problems with some of those meds. That’s all I will say on the subject…😉
I am kind of in the same space you mentioned when you talked about how you felt about your hair situation. I began letting my hair grow around December 2019, which was a few months after I retired. My older daughter encouraged me to do it, saying that there are no rules stating that older ladies must get their hair cut short and permed! So mine is now halfway down my back and is silver. I get a lot of compliments on it. But lately, I’ve been wondering if the length is now working against me. I only wash it once a week because I lose a lot of strands each time. It’s getting thinner and thinner, so I’m thinking I should cut it at least to the length you’ve got. By the way, your new style is SO becoming on you! I really like it!
Another lady I watch on TH-cam (Llama Mama Kayla) has trigeminal neuralgia too, along with severe Raynaud’s syndrome (she’s had 7 fingers amputated as a result) and Sjogren’s disease and CREST. Anyway, she has stated several times that the facial pain from TN is the most severe pain she’s ever experienced. I just can’t imagine it.

I am sorry to hear about the diabetes. I was diagnosed 20 years ago and have managed to avoid the needle. I walk everyday and watch out for carbs. I don't do keto / Adkins, I just learned what will spike me and stay away from those things. Test, test, test! You can do it!

Hi Darlene. You have been on quite the journey. So happy that you have a handle on things and that your health is improving. You look wonderful! Also, love your new haircut as well. I usually only comment from time to time but I will do better. The rebuild/repairs on our home were completed yesterday from the tree hit. God blessed us with a wonderful team of folks who truly cared about us from beginning to end and did an excellent job. We will be getting our furniture out of storage very soon as well. Well your not alone I also have a rare Syndrome called Maige Syndrome a rare form of Distonia! I just started Botox injections to help it but it's not a cure. But I feel for you it's hard to deal with! If I didn't have Jesus it would be devastating. Love you and thanks for the update..

Darlene, I’m so sorry you suffer with Trigeminal Neuralgia!! So painful! I work in the surgical department at a Nashville, TN hospital and we have a neurosurgeon who specializes in TN. People come from all over the country. Even had a patient from Hawaii. His name is Robert Mericle. He does a procedure called stereotactic rhizotomy. Look into this. It could be life changing.

Your hair looks really good. I wear mine pretty much in that style and it’s so much easier to take care of. I could tell as soon as I saw you that you have lost weight. I developed Afib several years ago and I too have to watch my weight. Mostly sodium and fats. I list 50 pounds and have gained back 10, so working on that plus more. I do know about that nerve condition. I have it in my right side. Mostly affects behind my ear, and down into my shoulder. Terrible headaches and depression when it flares up. You’ve had a lot of stress with you all moving up in the air. I’m so sorry you’ve been sick but sounds like you are doing better. That haircut makes you look younger. Praying that you continue to improve.

I missed seeing your videos and I'm sorry that you're going through all of that. I too have diabetes and struggle with that and let me tell you the shots have helped me so much. I'm on Manjaro and it has definitely helped the weight loss and the sugar numbers drop. So don't discount it if you need to do it. I had prayed for you and I had hoped everything was okay and I'm glad to see you back that you are back. By the way your hair looks great it makes you look younger

It really is sore when I go to the dentist ( holding my mouth open for awhile ) it hurts up into my ear and my jaw pops and cracks. 😊 one day we won't have any pain. I hope you continue to improve.
