I'm also noticing the dead spots at the top and bottom of the wheel but overall it's usable. My biggest concern here is the security of the connection. My Carbon GT V2 used Bluetooth to secure the connection. This is analog. While the signal of analog is better I do have some concern that if a malicious person was able to transmit the correct signal they could potentially do something like throw the board into reverse while riding it causing someone to get injured or even killed.
LOL AND WHEN SOMEONE OPENS THEIR GARAGE DOOR WITH THEIR WIRELESS REMOTE YOUR BLUETOOTH CAN DISCONNECT AND YOUR BOARD WILL DEFAULT TO FULL BRAKE WITH A REMOTE DISCONNECTION.
Why do you call the connection "analog"? The receiver communicates with the ESC using a UART. The level of security will depend on the protocol used to transmit the data. It wouldn't be too hard to have some sort of encryption between the two devices. I doubt it would be easy to hijack someone's board. I certainly think it's safe from garage door remotes.
@@ddegn I used to write serial drivers for HP. I'm not sure UART is the right term unless it's between the control chip and the antenna. Everything over the air is just PTP serialized data. However, if that's true you are correct that it would still be a digital connection. They still don't say if it's encrypted or not.
Any idea how much range you get with these? Im looking at setting up a wake winch and using the Flipsky waterproof VX3 controller to operate the winch from a distance.
So I just got one of these remotes and it’s pairs fine however when it comes to the set up in the vesc tool I registered it as a ppm and the ppm mapping bar on the bottom doesn’t move it’s a blank bar do i even do that or is it something different I have a dual 6.6 plus vesc
Got a flipsky vx2 remote and i cant get it to work, i think its because i dont know what pole paris is i got the cell count set to 10 its set for focbox and did it to 1-1 for gearing ratio any help would be appreciated ( using a raptor 2)
Just got these things: 2 single flipsky vesc 4.20 1 VX2 remote 2 6374 flipsky 190kv motors 1 flipsky anti spark switch 2 4s batteries 4.000mah 25C that i will plug in series. 200mm off road tires 4/1 gear ratio chain From what i’ve read i could use 3 solutions to drive both vescs with the remote: 1 - use can bus, but if master vesc stops working, both do. 2 - use split ppm with one of the 5v wires cut off. But i’ve read that some people have had their vesc fried by doing this, maybe done something wrong. 3 - use two receivers, one on each vesc, but not sure if works with vx2 and alao is the most expensive solution. Note that i am from Brazil and anything i need from china will take forever to get here, so with that in mind, what would you guys recomend i do to link the vx2 to both vescs?
@@johnd9357 I have always used only gt2e and I find it to be vastly superior in reliability and precision to any other controller out there. I must trust my life with it, have done over 25 000 km. If you can't withstand having a big rc controller then print out the small form case and move the insides from the big one to the case according to youtube video
How can i switch the remote from Reverse to Forward? Mine is always on Reverse
Hold the throttle all the backwards and click the mode button
Whaaattt.... thank you buddy. I was searching for this information for a month now. 👍
What remote can I buy to run a blink s acton skateboard Anyone know ?????
Imperial only a metric version will be available soon if you were an early adopter like me you had to send yours back to reprograming

What remote can work as. A replacement For Blink s
@@CodyKidd-f6l Is that a question or statement? I'm not familiar with the Blink S.
Looks very good, does it work with Focbox Unity?
I think the new ones do
Why didn't you show the display outside in daylight
thanks for the video, just ordered one:))
Cool do you have a similar video for the VX I?
Yes, it is on our channel
Any idea how much range you get with these? Im looking at setting up a wake winch and using the Flipsky waterproof VX3 controller to operate the winch from a distance.
Hi, I am not sure about the range on the VX3. Might be a little too much for the purpose of a wake winch but I am not sure.
plz help i got the same vesc as u did u choose vesc 4 or 6 ?? dual enertion focbox x thanks
also i got the enertion hub motors so im not sure how imma sett the motor pully and tooth count
For Enertion foc boxes its a v4. Also for pulley count just set each at 1

hi i am having a similar problem, did you solve your issue?
Is the Bake & Acceleration travel on the wheel to much in yr opinion ?
On the VX2 regular its not great but the VX2 PRO is absolutely perfect
Hello, does this work with a nilox doc skateboard? i lost my controller :V
What happens if ur using a direct drive set up what do u do with the gear ratios/ number of teeth
There is a setting for hub/ DD
When setting up the speedometer if u are using direct drive what would you do about the pulley section
Set it to 1:1 ratio, or the new VX2 pro version has a version called hub motor so just use that

I had trouble using the VX2 and the unity. You have to just go into the input and set it to UART and the correct baud rate
@@DIYesk8Builders ?? i dont understand whats UART and baud rate is, dose this mean i gotta reprogram the vesc itself
im using dual focboxs

Use the can bus for sure. We have done it in the past and it works great. Unlikely that the master stops working but its true that is possible
Is this still the latest version ?
integra there is a VX2 Pro you can find it here: electric-skateboard-parts.myshopify.com/products/flipsky-vx2-pro
I got this remote for my build and for the life of me I cant figure out why the mph, amps, and board battery level does not work on the remote.
Have you entered the settings into the remote?
@@DIYesk8Builders yes did all the settings, battery cells, pole pairs, wheel type and diameter, motor and wheel pulley, and throttle calibration.
@Moydolf Dada Art Nope they had to send me another one
