A few things... Do you suffer from tinnitus? I'm guessing not. But one of the things that us sufferers find hard is people talking over music / background noises. So less volume would help us. If you go to Ken Rockwell's site you will discover that this lens was new to the market in July 2015. But this was a helpful vidoe so thank you.
Great video weighing pro's and cons and I found it quite helpful. I understand balancing audio in videos can be a pain in the ass, but the music is overpowering for future reference.
IMHO, for any Nikon DX DSLR camera, as a general purpose walk around DX zoom lens, this 16-80mm f/2.8~4 AF-S VR lens is a great way to go, far more so than a 24-70mm f/2.8 zoom lens. For my D7500, my choice travel lenses are a 16-80mm f/2.8~4 AF-S VR DX, 70-300mm f/4.5~5.6 AF-P VR FX, and a 35mm f/1.8 AF-S FX. I don't want to break the bank, and my back, for my travel fun pack. Good things! 👍
i'd go for a 24-70mm F2.8 today. I went with the 16-80mm because of the wider range and because it fit my camera and my needs at the time. but today, i'm more interested in a constant F2.8. hope that makes sense and is helpful. good luck and happy filming!
Having used it now I really like it. It feels WAY more ‘quality’ than a kit lens. It’s got some heft! Tested mine and it’s focusing well so no adjustments.

i feel it. i think the 24-70mm is better for full frame. for my D5500 and your D7500 and other crop sensors, i really like the 16-80mm

@@DomCOuano The 17-55 is significantly heavier and had no vr though. I have it and those are the main points that started to annoy me quite a lot

Don, I’d just turn it down. It was a bit loud and was distracting. Maybe have it at about 50% of what you did here.
