Couple ideas to improve -- Build a hanger on the front face to hold the tailgate when it is not installed. And Install chains on the tailgate so you can limit the opening and control the spreading of product, like a dump truck does, Excellent video! Thank you for sharing!
Excellent workmanship and a very good trailer. But a safety warning: this needs a swivel hitch to prevent the towing vehicle from turning over if the tipper trailer fell over sideways. It's an easy bolt-on upgrade. Also requires a fuse or circuit breaker on the battery connection.
Clearly you don't know what you are talking about. Even commercially built dump trailers don't have a swivel hitch. Why, because it's a weak point. That trailer isn't big enough and doesn't raise high enough to worry about tipping.
I have to say I quite enjoyed the drive to dump the cuttings while mowing but this makes dumping the cuttings more enjoyable! Please make a shute from the mower to the trailer for grass cuttings
Super. I would change one thing and that is when the line comes in at the ram on the top. Put a hard line down to the pivot point this way the line only needs to move a small amount and the flex would be limited. Other than that a super build! Love it.
Just came across this video, and I have to say it's super informative! Thanks for breaking down the details so clearly. Definitely keeping this on my watchlist!
Your skill is extraordinary your gifting from the creator of all things, such a pleasure to watch you work, sometimes I watch you for 5 or 6 hours and I'm still amazed at your skill. Keep it up sir, we enjoy watching you work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exceptional fabrication. I see you have bunches of high-end tooling machinery, but you obviously also have the knowledge to operate them. Best work I have seen in a long time!
That is a very nice design. One thing I would suggest is to cover the pump and battery with a solar panel which will protect them from the weather and keep the battery topped up without having to think about it. You might also be able to find an old tool box to mount them in which could also be a place for the remote control. I'm thinking of those tool boxes which would be deep enough, but then have a removable tray to cover the battery/motor and it could hold other small stuff.
This is a good idea! Every spot on my property that gets a mower, tractor, atv, etc parked in has a solar powered battery tender connection. That and flat tires are such a pain in my ass that I mounted a 12v battery and air compressor to a dolly... Has jumper cables just in case after one of the battery tender wires oxidized and that battery was dead even after being on a damn charger. Also has a shelf for a little 79cc 2 stroke harbor freight 700w generator but I haven't needed that for anything yet. I have grid power available in most spots but why have the constant drain when solar is sufficient.
In addition to the above modifications, I suggest adding a second set of tailgate connections to the front of the trailer so when you take the tailgate off the back, you can hang it on the front face of the trailer so you don't lose it, forget it and when you've offloaded whatever you took the gate off for, you can immediately put it back on the rear so you can then load more lose material (gravel, sand etc.) without having to go all they way back to wherever you left the gate...
@@peetky8645 It has a port at both ends so it's double acting. In this application it doesn't need to be, since the weight of the dump box should be enough to overcome the friction of the seals and let it down. Although plumbing it as double acting is a good idea because it keeps moisture/contaminates out of the rod side of the cylinder.
Electric-hydraulic is always a very good choice! I just installed a tipper bed to my Chevy K1500, tipping to three sides and also a snowplow from same hydraulic powerpack. I do have couple videos on my channel also. Keep up Building stuff like that! Subscribed to your channel and waiting for new content! 😎
What a superb design, followed by excellent construction technique. I have a trailer, but if I needed to build one, this is what I would use as a model.
Too nice , I think the kids will enjoy working while you watch them loading it with spades. I think you could have just lifted it off the hitch and tip it out lol , it's so small , sure the kiddies will enjoy their new toy. Very beautiful but you should make a bigger one for the big boys toys. Sure it's going to come in very handy in the paddock. I would really thinking of upgrading the axles though.
Great video. I hope the fittings on the hydraulic ram don't get knocked off - as they seem to be the lowest part of the lift mechanism - maybe some small skid plates to protect them would protect them. Stay safe out there.
Nice build. I'd recommend a charge circuit for the battery otherwise it will just discharge as you use it. Maybe a solar charger or just recharge it after each use.
Great job. You have made such a beefy wagon. The only thing I would do differently is a better beefier tailgate latch system. The one you have does not match the rest of the wagon for strength. You have mad skills.
@Workshop From Scratch - tray to use hidráulica traction 2 wheels permanently on traditional gearbox, and 2 wheels with hidráulic traction. More controllable very simple to use and fewer parts and has independent traction and steering on demand. just an idea never seen I think, extreme hybrid 4X4 ... good job my friend
i don't know why but i rather do it with external power source. make like trailer socket. because charging battery... im to lazy :D over all great job and amazing project... looking for your future builds
Great build and craftsmanship. Now I'm guessing the location of the ram is due to the length of its stroke and a possible need to tip it straight up, but if positioned so that the ram is closer to the front it would allow for heavier loads to be dumped, while simultaneously reducing the power needed to raise and lower the tipper save your battery and pump. But in the end it works and for diy that's all that matters. Thumbs up from me.
Well, that project didn't take very long to build, but I would have painted it green. 😀 Handy little trailer... well done! Appears you have a bit of "scratch" invested in the workshop tools.
Thank you 😁 Troktorek mower is red that's why I painted it a similar color 😁 I try to save and buy tools all the time they are not always good quality tools but the most important thing is that they do their job :)
I was rebulding a trailer last week and i sure wish i had access to the great workshop and tools you have there, you also have all the gear and great ideas, great workmanship
Maestria unica amico. Da manuale, peccato che per me è irraggiungibile fare quello che hai fatto. Ma come lezione per apprendimento è veramente unica. Grazie
Wow man....the only thing you didn't do is pour your own steel and make those tires yourself (please post a link to the video where you built that riding mower from scratch! lol). SUPER COOL that you can do all that! That's skill for sure.
Love the "pallet width" feature, very clever. Fantastic construction, I hope it helps a lot!
Thank you 😁
Bro! I'm mesmerized

Sounds excessive. Just don't tow or dumb on uneven grouf

lol I'd be shocked if this trailer was capable of turning over a 4 wheeler or golfcart. how big do you think this trailer is? lol
My old man had a tractor tipper go over once at 30’ high. This is sound advice. Possibly not as much of a worry as his
LOL the design exceeds it's intended use .
I'm a cabinetmaker of 35 years, shop full of tools, but the wrong medium.......enjoyed watching!
Another awesome build! I never get tired of watching your skills and workmanship! Thank you very much for sharing!!!

Seriously the best quality fabrication and video job on TH-cam. Very well done. Didn't know so many words could be said in one video, Ha.
ALL That WORK,and NO SUSPENSION;= PRIMITIVE PERFECTION.
Are you serious?
Throughly enjoyed watching you work. Great skills & equipment!
I'm like a kid again with some grown boy toys lol 😆 saving this vid. I'm gonna make one now.

@@ElectricGears thanks for the information. I want to make a small crane for my flatbed and one of these could be useful to move the boom in and out.
If my scrap pile was like yours I'd call it a gold mine.
Excellent work, next project turn the lawn mower into a small front end loader🤣 👍👍👍 . Thank you for sharing. Take care of yourself, be safe 🇨🇦
Thank you 😁 But with this front loader you gave me a good idea - Thank you 😁
You're such an artist! Please keep making videos
Thank you 😁
A master of fabrication. Beautiful. Thanks.
Love that you made it the size of a pallet, nice job. 👍
Awesome design & assembly 👍🏼
Thank you 😁
That is a wicked hitch design. I love the way it looks.
Great Job 👍👍👍
Very nice trailer build, thank you.
Thank you 😁
You sir are a master fabricator!!👍
Pretty cool 😎👍😊 I wish you were my neighbor👍
Your shop is so cool and never judge a book by its cover I guess

Metal fabrication to the next level!!! Wow
Some outstanding metal work with some great tools to do so. Its always so much better to create something rather than to buy it.

Love the whole build. It's genius!. I would like to know more to where I can find that exact hydraulic pump and cylinder. I can't find it anywhere
Your workmanship is excellent and insightful And your video editing is getting even better.
Thank you 😁
Nice trailer, well done!
Приветствую ,спасибо за хорошую идею
