I think this is unfair to Netanyahu- it seems like the progressive hostile American administration- and the ideologically captured idf and security leadership have been fighting bibj every step of the the way- Biden didn’t even want a ground incursion at all- the ordeal leading in to Rafta was a public example of the pressure that Bunin was received leading up to each civilian centre evacuation and door to door by the idf . Also the security leadership have made it clear they would have caved with horrible terms which would make the war a complete failure along with absolutely no confirmation of hostages return. And on the side note- Hamas is not going to give the female soldiers back on the first phase, especially if they are pregnant. This would hurt them so badly in the pr battle there is a better chance of them never willingly give them up. Isreal needs to shake the American shackles and go hard on Gaza- ignoring world opinion. Maybe then civilians will judge helping the idf is the lesser cost to them. The un and west political pressure is unhinged- better off ignoring them and not apologizing as clearing their bars will never make the collective west hapoy And this whole day after is outrageous! That can’t even be discussed until Hamas isn’t a treat as they will kill any Palestinian they believe is even discussing this with isreali s! This has already happened with Hamas killing clan leaders! What am I missing here? This seems the most obvious thing in the world- I must be missing something crucial for this not be broadly understood by all parties - and idf leadership all needs to go- this American education generation is unable to conceive or execute necessary steps for victory.
