The puddle reflection shot works artistically and thematically. Great as always.
I also got a bit of mud on my knee crouching for this shot so I’m extremely pleased you noticed the shot. Thanks James.
@@stuntpeggnieve Choice of music fit well too, did I hear a short clip from the Knife on a video the other day as well?

You could even say that this is Rotherham's training pitch. (I'll get my own coat, thank you.)
I see what you did there !
You have found your Station!
Why is Ed cheating on me and THIS is how I find out
😰
Did you ever think to ask him if he wanted to visit Rotherham?
@@stuntpeggnieveI figured he would leave me on read :(
I know, it's terrible. He also went to Slough the other day so make sure he washes thoroughly before you get near him.
What is this, a crossover episode?
the greys and browns of the rotherham skyline looked particularly lovely this day
2nd time in a week I've watched a seemingly unrelated video and you've randomly appeared 😂 Never know quite when or where you'll appear next....
fancy seeing you here ed
I've heard of defensively 'parking the bus' but parking trains is a new one on me.
A Miss Carriage?
Pity Rotherham couldn’t park a few of those trains on their new pitch, I see they are rock bottom of the Championship.🙄
Perhaps they need some new trainers.
as someone from rovrum, i appreciate the correct pronounciation throughout the video
You can always rely on a fellow northerner

I love Northerners 🌹
i've learned from the arctic monkeys. i'm brazilian, have never been nowhere near rovrum, but i had to look for it after listening to the song many years ago. music and football made me learn a lot about places i'll probably never visit in my life

Funny, Stunt Pegg doesn’t sound very “West-End.”
Just brings back memories of the strip club in Gta 5 😂
Thank you for using subtitles! It's actually very helpful if you don't yet understand British English perfectly. I really enjoy your videos because I'm very interested in English football and I'm always surprised at how different some place names are pronounced by English people. The feeling for language you learned at school is very deceiving...^^ Greetings from Germany.
Guten tag innit mate
"if you don't yet understand British English perfectly."
As someone on an internet once said " There is no such thing as British English. There is English, and then there are mistakes".
It's 'English' English, not 'British' English
It also helps those of us who are hard of hearing because TH-cam auto captions are abysmal
Keep going! This depth of exploration is admirable. Thank you for spreading your learnings with us folks!
Thank google, not studious archive research.

Excellent documentary Nieve. I remember going to Millmoor as an away fan in the 80's. The away entrance was further down that alley that Ed and you were on. Our coaches were taken on a police escort around some dodgy industrial back streets to get to the turnstyles. We went past Booth's scrapyard where we saw a scrap London Underground tube carriage that did not move for at least five years
"It's the 1980s ... Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Rotherham go into administration." Love it. You are the best in the business by far. P.S. The puddle shot is the absolute sh...
🤣☺️Thank you so much
Very nicely done video. This could have been my club of Southend United, whom I first went to watch in 1966 just after England had won the World Cup. We just avoided administration this season by the skin of our teeth, but we still got deducted 10 points and are now in the National League, the hardest league to get out of (Unless you have Hollywood superstar backing that is). Our owner tried to run the club and stadium into the ground, which he wanted to develop as a housing estate. Fortunately a consortium (who seem decent people...we shall see...) is bailing us out but the takeover still has to be finalised. Clubs like ours, and Reading and Bury and Chester etc, etc, have rich local histories and I appreciate you highlighting them on your channel. Oh yes, I love your dry sense of humour too. Many thanks.
There are loads of clubs in a seriously perilous financial position at the moment. I'm a Blackburn Rovers fan and I am seriously worried about where we are heading. Our Indian owners have been bailing us out to the tune of about 20m quid every year since 2012, while still (mostly) managing to avoid any FFP sanctions. However, the Indian Government has decided that this appears to be some sort of tax write off and now every bailout payment has to be approved by the Indian courts. The only thing keeping us going at the moment is the recent 18m sale of Adam Wharton to Crystal Palace. Like you said, lots of clubs have "rich local histories". Blackburn Rovers have a rich national history, which is danger of becoming just history.
I wish you well. You have such a rich heritage. The Southend MP has been brilliant and really pushed our cause. Let’s hope all those teams in trouble come out OK….🤞
As a Reading season ticket holder I sincerely hope your takeover goes well for your club. Only been there once ( A 5.0 thrashing) but hopefully will again
All the best.
Loved the Ed Chapman colab.
It's obviously under a planning restriction until a certain date.
As soon as that date passes the owners will sell it to developers for huge money and the it will be turned into houses or retail units

Love this lass she talks football sense and knows her football.
Because shes a Bolton Fan mate - we're all awesome
Except when she described League 2 as "the bottom tier of English football"!!!
@@robertfoulkes1832'cept League 2 actually is the bottom tier of the Football League.
@@Nightopian1982You're advertising your own considerable ignorance then. I take it then that you are unaware of the existence of the National League (tier 5), the National League North and South (tier 6), and all the other leagues operating at tiers 7, 8 and so on which are BELOW League 2 (tier 4) so that it is NOT, as she stated the "bottom tier of English football"!!!
@@robertfoulkes1832 yes, I'm well aware of them, and those below League 2 are what's regarded as non-league football. Another brilliant video, am especially loving the videos about historic and abandoned grounds. Keep them coming 👏
Delighted to see a stuntpegg video about Rotherham! Only one point of order though, we fluctuate between the 2nd and 4th tiers; never been in the 5th tier (thankfully!)
Great fun video, cheers!

Great vid once again Pegg! You're fast becoming a very very skilled content creator and I must say I appreciate your videos alot. Big up and keep on going. You'll be 1-2-3 million subs + one day I'm sure of it
You're hilarious! Glad I found this channel.
And big up my hometown! It's nice when I don't have to say I'm from "Rotherham, near Sheffield" when talking to a football fan.
"Rotherham were founded in 1925, I wasn't born but you'll have to take my word for it" 😂😂😂
Also liked the "To me too you" that was written on the white board behind you! Great video Nieve, wish it was longer, but you can't have everything. Keep up the great work. 😊
I don't often get motivated to write comments, but this was a fabulously well made video, StuntPegg - The filmography, the flow of the shots, and the COMEDY haha. Seriously awesome. Keep it up!

Comedy genius! Getting better with every release. ‘To me to you’ is a classic on your whiteboard!
Always a great story though. Keep up the great work.
Millmoor football Stadium...Do they train at the stadium? " Oh yes we have trains at the stadium". As for the signs, maybe "Mind The Gap"???.
Love your work.
Love the Pet Shop Boys sample. Perfectly timed with the events you are discussing.
Just like to say that I absolutely love this channel. Not a football fan, not many people are in Australia (except everybody absolutely loves our National Womens team), but I love the way you present history of mainly British football and especially its lower leagues.
I especially like that you are a young woman doing deep dives into these topics. It is obvious your passion for the game and with your presenting style the subject matter can easily crossover to non football fans.
Love your work. Keep at it.
Where in Australia are you from, We have a soccer league called the A .league, the men's international team is called the soccer soccerroos and as played in several world cup tournaments and are well supported. Pegg I really enjoyed your blog and can relate to Rotherham story as being a Gillingham fan we were close to going into administration some years back. UTG from down under Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺 😊
@brianrichardson5871 The A League is not well supported, the national team somewhat more, but the women's team is absolutely loved with 11 consecutive sell-out crowds, and 12 million watching the game v England in the WC. Football ( or soccer) is not well supported generally in Australia. A long way behind AFL and NRL.
@@geoffmaloney2717 The A-League is about as well supported as most mid-tier European Leagues it does better than most think but most fans in the Australian and New Zealand Football Community have a negative mindset and who are people that love a whinge
@@geoffmaloney2717 The A-League will never catch the AFL and NRL as those two competitions are the top tier for their sports which is something the A-League can never be

I'm sure Sunday league games are been played there at the moment. Ed awaydays is nothing without you
That would explain why, when you look on Google Maps, the pitch has lines on it, the grass looks short, the goalposts are up and have nets.

Bit of an update on Millmoor, since around February this year (2024) it has been hosting youth football matches, you can walk in and watch a match again which is fantastic. If you check The Oldham Groundhoppers page he has been to watch one.
Thanks for coming to visit us Nieve, Id say see you at the new york next season but I think youre going up
I'm a lifelong Miller. Got into Football through watching us at Millmoor. Watched dozens of matches & never saw us win a game. As I was becoming Footie-mad we were in administration plummeting down the leagues. Then we moved to Don Valley, the worst Footie ground I've ever been to. When we were playing there we were woeful, almost as bad as the ground. My season ticket had me sat behind a wide pillar, I couldn't see the pitch at all. I obviously never sat in my official seat, not that that mattered as 90% of seats were empty. If you had binoculars you could just about see the pitch. And on the rare occasion you'd see us scrape a win against the likes of Aldershot Town & Macclesfield.
This video has everything. Trains on a pitch. Pet Shop Boys. Fast Walking. Ed Chapman!
Just fell upon your channel. Enjoyed a couple of vids I viewed. Football, a bit of social commentary, excellent !
Funnily enough the Don Valley Stadium has since been demolished yet Millmoor still stands.
Love the videos, StuntPegg
I did not expect a video of my hometown today. I remember going to this ground when I was a kid. Never paid for a ticket, they used to just let you wander in
I'm going to have that damn song in my head all day now....thnks
Chucklevision wasn't actually filmed in Rotherham, it's just _set_ in Rotherham.
I grew up in Watford, where they did a lot of the filming. I even saw the brothers in person once, when they were getting ready to film a scene in Cassiobury Park.
Love your vlogs! Thank you and keep up a great job.
Love your videos - they’re unique and you put hard work into it, and you’re funny.
I love your presenting style. Love these sort of videos. "To Me to you" on the whiteboard at the back 👀 I loved watching the Chucklebrothers when I grew up.
Another brilliant video that I didnt know I needed to watch 🔥
I enjoy ur videos so much, the puddle shot was insane, interesting about what once was rotterhams stadium but now forced out
Meanwhile, literally next to the abandoned Millmoor is the abanboned Masborough Railway Station, whilst 1 mile away is Rotherham Titans RUFC, a ground shared with a cricket club so has only 3 sides. If only they could move to Millmoor and finish that stand off...
'to me to you' in the background 😅 I loved that show
Hi Stuntpegg, on Sunday 3rd of march I actually played a game at millmoor i believe they opened it up for a Sunday league side to use I play in under 16s and it was an incredible experience the nostalgia to be able to play at a proper football stadium that has hosted intense matches for fans that can I longer get through the barbed wiring ( obviously to hide the ancient secrets ). But I just thought I’d let you know that it is now being used for Sunday league games that I was lucky enough to partake in. Love the vids and I’m also a massive fan of Ed’s so would love to see more of you two in the future.
That is so cool, thanks for letting me know Riley. It’s a shame I wasn’t recording on a Sunday!
😮Wow I can’t believe you actually saw my comment. Thanks Nieve
Not watched you’re videos for years as a journalist got to say very well made and informative 👍👍
Thank you Elliot! 👊
Rugby fan here, I seem to remember something in the news about a decade ago that the Titans were going to move out of Clifton Lane into there (they did spend the 2003-04 season at Millmoor when they were in the top flight). Strange that it never happened.
It probably wouldn't happen at the minute as they've since dropped down to the 4th tier, although they are currently 2nd behind fellow former top flight team Leeds so could still be promoted. Hopefully one day someone does end up using it, whether it be the Titans or another sports club.
Love this, Nieve. Great job 👏
My first ever away day was Millmoor. 2002. Rotherham 2-1 Watford. We lost but I loved travelling all the way up there with my Dad and being with our hardcore fans. Will always be fond of the place. The new stadium is soulless unfortunately.
Loving the cameo by our Ed. ❤️
The reckless abandonment displayed in that video will give me nightmares. Please adhere to the signage
Great to see you back on TH-cam
Love the delivery. This was interesting but also made me properly laugh.
Your videos make me yearn for the dull and grey of the UK. Keep em coming
In 1925 it was agreed that the land must be used for sporting purposes for at least 100 years, I believe the booth family own the stadium but not the land its built on hence why they have to apply to store something there. At the minute there is a local youth team using the stadium if you visited on a sunday I dare say you would get in.
I really enjoy your football videos
They bring me much joy
Loving these vids! You should do one on Plough Lane sold to Safeway, and the death of Wimbledon FC
Fabulous video as per usual millmoor really is a mystery
You walked fast. But you were careful :p Great work as always =)
Appreciate the correct pronunciation of Ch-Ch-Chucklevision. It’s attention to detail like this that sets you apart. 👏
I'm a rotherham fan and although Ken booth passed away his sons still own the ground and the stadium cant be knocked down as there is a legal legislation in place stating that it has to stay as a stadium for 100 years and is currently used for junior football
I dont comment much but always like your videos. As an american its awesome to really learn the history of futbol. I always watch italy and the usa because my family is italian but i was born in the u.s so i cheer for both. Luckily italy at least does well sometimes. Hahaha. Great stuff as usual -- even better if, when you "broke the rules," you had played underneath the first part of the chorus of Malcolm McLaren's "Buffalo Gals," one of the early hip-hot hits, looped to fill under your going "''round the outside." If you don't know the song, look up the video -- you'll be amused. Keep doing great stuff.

That reflection shot was wonderful, you are telling me this is a football channel?
Remember in the away end not being allowed on the back row cause of the asbestos, did have a banging cafe opposite the ground.
