You don't have to make any excuses, man. Cis dudes get anxious about hair loss, too. That's why there is an entire market centered around male hair loss like Propecia, Rogaine, hair transplants, etc. Shit's stressful enough without having to try and explain yourself...
My Hair started receding at the temples and the crown, so I started taking Finasteride about 3 years ago. Not only did it stop the recession, I got regrowth in those areas. Not sure how common this is but I just wanted to share my experience.
interesting points ,if anyone else trying to find out balding cures try Grathaw Amazing Hair Expert ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my m8 got cool success with it.
My hair is the only reason I am so hesitant about T, it helps a lot to know that this concern is shared, thank you Chase
Castor Oil works really well for hair loss. I actually got new hair growth along my hairline after using it.

Your point about the timing not being fair was the first thing I had trouble with for my son too! SO UNFAIR! You are the sweetest young man and your hair looks great, soft and you're wrong about the cut, it's cute. Now heed the advise from a 50+ (always from the high end salon) from time to time bleaches, more the past 5 years, " you can't do bleaching without damage!" You know the the little short hairs you feel after two or three weeks after bleaching. Those are broken hair follicles regrowing. OMG you are so adorable. Thank you for posting this, I'm always looking for ways to help my son along and this just presented itself.
I bleach and dye my hair every few days. I take care of my hair and it's super soft and healthy and doesn't fall out. So yeah. I wish I had that dht cream you were talking about eons ago. There are hair pieces that last six months and you can even swim in them. Not sure if that's your thing but there are other things out there for you.

Easier said than done- trans folk want to be treated like their cognitive gender not their outer appearance, stoping T means misgendering and mistreatment and believe me it's a miserable existance, some prefer going bald . 🥲
