What is your opinion on 2.5mg dutasteride every day dose (yes you heard that correctly).
There is a pretty big study showing that it is more efficacious than 0.5mg and that it inhibits scalp dht much more than the 0.5mg dose even if the serum dht inhibition is only slightly higher.
I have no problems with 0.5mg ED so I'm not concerned about side effects.

Hey doctor, shall take finasteride at 17 or should i start with minoxidil and work my way upto finasteride until I’m 18-19 so that my hormones don’t get disrupted
hey there. Please don't touch finasteride at such a young age! Do Minoxidil, derma rolling and massages. Never take finasteride at young age, and do the following blood work: free test, total test, testicle analysis and sperm count analysis.

@@chunchunmaru2230 start with minoxidil, derma rolling and scalp massages. I would advice you not to touch your DHT until you are 24-25 years. DHT plays an important role in developing your male featuers.
@FollicleBooster that's bullshit ! Forget about scalp massages. It does nothing and will get you very bad forehead wrinkles (I went throught it like an idiot about years of scalp massages that did nothing aside from giving me deep wrinkles).
Scalp massages does nothing against hairloss. It's a myth and it has been debunked plenty of times by HairCafe

And there is no point waiting until you are 24 - 25 years old before taking finasteride. You will definitely lose lots of ground on minoxidil alone until you are 25 ... then it's gonna be a mess.
Just start on low dose oral finasteride like finasteride 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) at 1mg. Or 0.5mg every other day . Start that when you turn 18 or 19 years old (start at 20 maximum).
Minoxidil by itself can't buy you more than 2 or 3 years anyway ...
But Minoxidil + finasteride together is gonna be very very effective long term.
Finasteride is a very safe drug so don't listen to the fear mongering around it that you can find on the internet . 😉
