That's a great video. Have a quick question, Once we have this Audience Segment created, either imported from GA4 or created directly, how can we use the audience for remarketing? Should we create a search campaign or another type of campaign and then select the audience group? We only want this for remarketing purposes, targeting visitors who have visited the website more than once or left at the checkout page.
First of all, great job with the video. Very clearly worded and easy to follow. I have 2 questions, 1 for each of the 2 examples. The Google Ads setup, is there a way to avoid any customers outside of the US for example? I'm not seeing it in the drop down functions so is there a more creative way to say "show me all visitors in the last 30 days AND within the US"> For the GA4 setup, I'm having permissions issues. I'm the only user and I'm admin on both GA4 and GA. When I go to pull the GA4 list over, it says I don't have permissions and need to ask for them. When I click on the "request" button I don't get any emails or notifications that I'm asking myself for permissions. I've read on reddit other folks having this same issue but with no solve. I obviously chatted with google india and they weren't able to figure it out so they said they would "email me back in 48-72 hours" which is longer than I want to wait. Any advice here? Both the "account access mgmt" and "property access mgmt" have my email setup as admin so I can't figure out what else to do to get the GA4 audience to import to Google Analytics at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Probably burned through a full day of calls, chats and reddit articles with no solve...
Great video! I had a question, so I was able to link GA4 with Google Ads from GA4 side. However, audiences created inside GA4 and Google Ads are all showing 0, even though I have over 1,500 users showing in GA4. I've selected data signal and made acknowledgement. One thing was when I tried to create audience inside Google Ads by selecting Google Analytics, I see an error message saying "You don’t have permission to create an audience for this property. To ask for permission, request access.". Could this be the reason for having 0 list size, even though I can see the audiences I've created in GA4?
And which website is it collecting these visits from? You can use different urls for different campaigns, which ones this manager is using? I would understand generatibg tag, then putting it in tag manager and that's it. But where these audiences are getting users from I don't quite get it
Just a simple question, what is the difference between remarketing list from GA4 and the audience in Google Ads? My goal is to get more people comb back to my site and get registered.
1K? According to the information I saw on the official Google documentation there only needs to be 100 for the display network. Please let me know if 100 or 1K is correct?
Here is the updated info: Google Display Network must have a minimum of 140 active visitors or users within the last 30 days. Google Search Network must have a minimum of 1000 active visitors or users within the last 30 days. TH-cam must have a minimum of 1000 active visitors or users within the last 30 days.
@@ScottRedgate Thank you. Do you know if we required to manually change all products in the Landing Page URL if we are using a feed or what is the dynamic URL we enter??
Forr the first part creating an audience within the google ads account itself, I've started creating that but I don't know where that audience data has actually been gathered from so I don't think it will have captured all of my website visitors please explain where that is getting such data from. Also I made a ga4 segment based on page views events, it says it would have 168 but it is showing 0 when in google ads or viewing the segment itself in ga4 do you know why this is?
Hey! You can see your audiences in 'Audience Manager'. As for your second question, it can take some time. If you've given it time, the audience might not be large enough. Google has a minimum audience size... 168 is pretty low.

Scott, this video at the 6min mark helped me solve a problem that I've been struggling with for a while. Thank you!
So glad to hear!

Sounds like you will want to create a display campaign, targeting the remarketing audience you just created!
Thanks. Is this the entire remarketing setup done, or are there further steps needed to incorporate this into a campaign?
Entire setup for a basic audience! You can spend more time by making audience more specific if you want.
@@ScottRedgate Thank you for the response. My campaign has no actual recorded conversions so far - glad to know I’m doing everything I can for it

@@ScottRedgate We figured it out. Basically the browser was cached so we went into Incognito mode and were able to set it up!
Woohoo! Well done.
Great video; thanks for the clearly explaining the benefits of audiences in Google Ads vs. GA4
Of course! Glad it helped.

It sounds like that is the culprit! I’ve run into a similar issue in the past.

This would be collecting visits from your website

Hi! Google Ads = simpler. GA4 = more audience options.
