Of almost all the cats, the cheetah is the one I would most describe as elegant. She's fast, sleek, delicate and gracefull. Absolutely beautiful animals.
And also the most docile of all cats. Not to say they can't be dangerous, but the less likely of all cats to attack humans. They just like to possess and show off. Love them!
Honestly you could move, cheetahs aren't really going to do anything other then either ignore that you moved or run away because you are bigger then them. These cheetahs are really used to humans and enjoy the safety that tour vehicles give them.

nate knight No, but cheetahs are partially domesticated because of their time as pets for roughly 5,000 years, they also have a docile nature and still don't usually see humans as a threat.
Was there yesterday and suddenly, as we were leaving the park we saw three cheetahs, mother and baby and a solitary one. It was the most fantastic moment in all our lives.
Cheetah: "dnt mind me mate, ahhhhhh, so this is what it's like to be up here, eh ? I always wanted to sit up here... u mind if I relax, greeeat... got any Cheetos, do ya ?"

Cheetahs learn to use the vehicles as lookout vantages. They can see either prey or impending danger better from up there. And they don't have to worry about termites crawling on them like when they use termite mounds.
Luckily for them, cheetahs are the featherweights of the big cat world and the scaredy cats of the savannah. They've got no interest in fighting a full-sized human, mostly because they're not stupid enough to attack anything twice their weight, much less 4 of them in the same place. In savannah terms, that would be suicidal. You only attack what you can easily kill and haul away. As has been said, they HAVE learned to use jeeps as useful scouting positions, though.
+Alex Tocqueville You kidding! most big cats and wildlife in general rarely bother humans unless you bother them. If you respect their space, their respect yours. There has been 2 recorded incidents, total, of people dying to them and those were likely cases of either rabies or some other exceptional circumstance.
Fortunately, the cheetah is the only wild cat that is friendly and doesn't have the commanding killer instincts the others have. Now had this been a lion that jumped up there .... totally different story. The tour bus woulda became a slaughter house. 🤷🏾♀️😂
You can tell the cheetah is loving the vantage point he gets from being on top of the jeep. As an apex predator, he knows having the high ground is an advantage for him. Not surprised at all by his behavior.
