Now you can understand why the last comment I left you fully utilised the “more” facility, and then some. As a fan of guitar oriented rock, the very first time I heard LOVEBITES (note, the capital letters are their actual title) I immediately recognised the melodies, the harmonies, vocal prowess and how remarkably tight the band was. I decided that I would follow them, literally, 30 seconds (again literally) into the song.
Every word of praise myself or any other Wolfpack member lavishes on these women are genuine, heartfelt, without exaggeration and fully deserved. You’ve now watched 3.57% of their entire output, and I guarantee you that the remaining 96.43% is of exactly the same standard whether studio or live.
I have never in my life been so dedicated to a single band than I am to LOVEBITES. I consider myself a supporter rather than a fan and as you can see, will gush endlessly in praise of their music, their personalities, their demeanour, devotion to their fans….and on and on.
I think you may have given us a hint as to the next reaction, but I might be reading too much into what you said and how you said it. Suffice to say, if it *isnt* Swansong, then when you do eventually watch the version with Miyako playing part of Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude as a (live only) prelude, keep an eye out for two things. Firstly the half second drop…total silence, before the final verse and secondly, keep an eye on Asami performing the dying swan from Swan Lake…not ostentatiously and you may not notice it at all the first time because other, equally dramatic things are happening, musically, at the same time.
    Best band ever. No exceptions.

Yeah, Lovebites fans are a hardcore group. Wolfpack is world-wide. Diverse group of people, united for Lovebites.
You can't really judge Lovebites from only 1 or 2 songs. Their songwriting covers a pretty wide spectrum of rock and metal.

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
    Veiling fears The emptiness inside
    Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
    A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
    A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
    One life ends
    And one life begins
    Evanesce
    To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
    A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
    A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
    I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
    I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more

The song is probably their best work. Having said that, none of their songs are throwaways and there is tight competition in their own catalogue. But Frozen Serenade is something else. For me at least.

    • @SomethingToDo360
      @SomethingToDo360 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

A Frozen Serenade is certainly a stand out, and is one of the few Lovebites songs that the reactors themselves label a masterpiece. I think when you can add so many different parts, and make it all work together nicely, is when a song is truly special. While typical songs, don’t stand out as much.

Asami is a 4' 10" stage Napoleon who controls the crowd and the band from start to finish. She is quiet, sweet and classy off stage but put her on stage with a mic and watch out!! Haruna at 4' 9" hits harder, faster and longer than any MMA fighter you will ever see, her fanbase within the Wolfpack is truly rabid (never ever say anything negative or they will find you and strap you to her kit for the beating of your life..LOL). Miyako on piano and guitar was 4/5 months pregnant here but went full till through the entire set. Midori shows that while she is a shred queen she can handle the acoustic like magic then shift gears (BTW on the studio version Miyako handles the acoustic but LIVE they need her on the piano so Midori (the ameteur body builder) jumps is). Miho on bass was the founder of this insanely talented band (came with Haruna from Destrose the legendary band that has spawned many of the current great female bands in Japan) she left for personal reasons after this tour and now they have the pheon Fami at 21 stepping right in. Want to see how insane the talent is: Swan Song with Chopin piano etude intro th-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/w-d-xo.html be ready to be floored by Miyako's piano playing. She is better on piano than the guitar to many of us in the Wolfpack (fanbase).

Asami has classical ballet training. Like you said, her moves are so graceful and elegant. The dead giveaway is her arm movements. She knows exactly what she is doing and is a master at working the crowd. One of my favorite things you will see her do, is at the exact perfect moment in a song, grab the upper layers of her dress and flip them up to head level. With the perfect lighting and camera angles that they use, it is truly beautiful. NO other Metal band has this! There are so many next level things they do like this for the TOTAL experience.

Note to reactor, I am posting this here because a vile troll who has been attacking the band, its fans and reactors with horrible and libelous comments, has appeared here in this comments section.
Lovebites fans, the SAME troll that we know of is now in this comments section. No prizes for guessing who it is. Here is a quick current summary of this troll who possesses multiple trolling YT accounts (for those who are already familiar with this summary post, my latest update is in point (7) below) :
    (1) He has so far been banned/blocked from 17 other reaction channels and counting for persistent trolling.
    (2) He went to the LIVE premiers of both "M.D.O." and "We the United" to post horrible and libelous comments in the LIVE chat about the band. For example, he accused Asami of being an alcoholic.
    (3) He has created AT LEAST 10 fake Lovebites accounts and used those accounts to post terrible comments in other bands' reactions/LIVE premiers while masquerading as "genuine Lovebites fans". His perverted goal is to create tension between the different fan communities.
    (4) This SAME vile troll has created another (AT LEAST) 5 new fake Lovebites accounts recently and used those accounts to attack a Nemophila MV release "in the name of Lovebites". Again, this is designed to sow discord amongst the fanbases.
    (5) He has created AT LEAST 3 fake BabyMetal accounts (2 of them not new to us) and posting "nice/positive" comments in their reactions so that he can claim that these accounts are "genuine BabyMetal fans", and then eventually use them to attack Lovebites or other bands' reactions/LIVE premiers. Again, the purpose of this vile troll is to create conflict between the different fanbases.
    (6) Also recently, he even went to a Blackpink reaction using AT LEAST 3 fake Lovebites accounts to post his despicable nonsense. Again, the purpose is to create conflict between the fanbases of different bands/groups.
    (7) This despicable troll is also trying to infiltrate the Wolfpack with some "new" trolling accounts that were created between 2020-2023, and some even older than 2020. I believe these "new" trolling accounts are meant to sow discord WITHIN the Lovebites community. Here are some of the reasons why :
    (a) So far, these accounts have only posted a few "positive" comments here and there, so we should just let them be. But please be alert for any attitude/behavioral changes.
    (b) Also, I have noticed some of these "new" trolling accounts that have been posting "positive" comments so far, have started to attack the reactors themselves, making the Wolfpack look bad in the eyes of the reactors. So watch out for this trolling tactic as well.
    (c) Some of these "new" trolling accounts will eventually play "good cop"/"bad cop" and they'll "converse" among themselves to attempt to create further deception and chaos. For example, some will pretend to be "pro-Lovebites" or "pro-reactor", and others will pretend to be "anti-Lovebites" or "anti-reactor". This vile troll has tried to do something similar before, so be alert for this.
    (d) Continued from point (c) above - one trolling permutation which has happened quite a lot recently is - the anti-Lovebites trolling YT accounts ("bad cops") will attack the reactors if the reaction is favorable to Lovebites, and they will "praise" the reactors if the reaction is not favorable to Lovebites. The reverse is true for the pro-Lovebites trolling YT accounts ("good cops"). So reactors, please be aware of this happening in the comments sections of your reactions. Again, no prizes for guessing who the "bad cop" is in this comments section.
    (e) This malicious troll will also use these "new" accounts to cause confusion and chaos by attempting to incriminate genuine Lovebites fans as "trolls". He has already tried this before, so also be aware of this and be on your guard.
    (8) Will update the communities and the reactors when there is new info available.

Lovebites to me is in rare air. I've been listening to metal for over 50 years, and I can honestly say there is no other band I have ever heard where I could potentially call so many of their songs a masterpiece and not be wrong. This song is one of them.

    • @jawosammadennhier7062
      @jawosammadennhier7062 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

👏 _Brilliant_ comment. 👍 Absolutely. Lovebites have an enormous rate of masterpieces in their discography. Globally spoken, they are a hidden gem.
The other all-female Japanese Metal band I appreciate is Nemophila, but they are "different". Lovebites maybe are more "arty", Nemophila more "punky". But both bands are _phenomenal_ . I recently bought Nemphila's current album, "Evolve", just like that, out of blind trust. It will be full of masterpieces, as always. No need to test it beforehand. I _never_ did that with Iron Maiden albums, though I am a lifelong Iron Maiden fan.

Asami's background is ballet. She trained from the age of 3 until in her teens she was told she was too small. She moved to R&B vocals after that, and, thankfully for us, she came to Lovebites. Various perfomances you get to see glimpses of all of that, this one, her ballet background in particular, but you're right, she uses it everywhere. Her stage presence, grace and crowd control is amazing.
So,, I heard you say Haruna drum cam. Ok then! There's a few out there, like this one th-cam.com/video/KMRWDSd6Tqc/w-d-xo.html I wish we had one from a live show though, making use of all of the camera angles we have on her.
Going back to Asami. She will grow on you. She won't be denied lol. Her voice is amazing for this style of music, I think, but I am clearly biased. They're my favorite band I have ever come across. So much talent. You're right though. It's a pretty normal reaction from most people to be surprised at Asami's voice fronting this style of music, but it really works. You can hear her R&B background in some songs like Empty Daydream (the 2019 version is great), Epilogue and Edge of the World (the "E" songs). She's a fan of thrash metal, actually, so one of their threashier songs is good to fit in there somewhere, something like Thunder Vengeance th-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/w-d-xo.html or Break the Wall th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html

Great reaction. Asami has her ballerina background. If you mean Chopin Revolutionary Etude by a classical piece, it is Swan Song but you have to take this specific version th-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/w-d-xo.html because the other versions have no Chopin intro. If you mean Liszt La Campanella, it's Lost In The Garden th-cam.com/video/HfPGDVx3d14/w-d-xo.html, or if you mean Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No.2, it is The Final Collision (live but audio track) th-cam.com/video/9VKrcsyQPUQ/w-d-xo.html. She also plays Chopin Ballade No.1 in G Minor th-cam.com/video/jkwxNbOFvk4/w-d-xo.html. Enjoy!! Oh, BTW, Miyako has released a CD album as her private project covering classic metal numbers on piano as piano etudes. It's a great work of art and you can find them with a key word "Miyako Etude Op.23" in TH-cam.

How many true masterpieces are there in the history of rock? A dozen? Maybe twenty, max? I’m not talking about merely great songs. There may be a few hundred of those (out of millions of songs). A masterpiece is much more. It combines beautiful composition with brilliant execution. It tells a story, taking you through a range of emotions until it overwhelms you. For classical music fans, the iconic example is Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. The best example of something shorter and more comparable to a rock song, might be Ravel’s “Bolero”. Among actual rock songs, I would name “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “The End” by the Doors; “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; “The Great Gig in the Sky” by Clare Torrey and Pink Floyd; “Starless” by King Crimson; and “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish. Importantly: many of the greatest rock groups never produced a masterpiece. Lovebites, in five short years, have given us several, and I think this rivals “Swan Song” as their greatest.

I think your next Lovebites will be Swan Song with the Chopin Intro. As for a follow-up after Swan Song, in a similar vein with an awesome piano intro would be their chef’s kiss performance of Lost in the Garden. Buy the ticket, take the ride.😊 Here’s the link as it’s hard to find lost among all the reactions…

My friend if you dont get it you must be friggin brain dead! This is without any doubt the best band on the planet right now.......period!! In my 65yrs I've never heard anything better than these ladies. Sheer talent! Never heard a better band live. Incidentally they all play piano/keyboards, Miyako is a concert level pianist and the rest of the ladies arent bad either! A band that can perform anything better live than in studio (with all the added shit) well just saying I've not heard their equal in 65yrs in metal or any other genre you wish to put forward. These girls are the real deal! No gimmicks just pure talent.

Oh, Relic, you have been lovebitten!
Your attitude to this band - and other deep dives you do - is admirable. Open mind and a second listen will get you far down the Japanese rabbit hole!
Yes, Asami is a stage general. Note also how stoic Miyako is. Many reactors find her almost too cool, this is her stage persona. She has her own UYT-channel and is really all smiles and very forthcoming - and a guitar tech nerd to boot.
Haruna plays with immense economy and spend a lot of time during their recent hiatus working on getting even more precise in her movements.
You will return to Lovebites, surely. Other recommandations and regular gotos are:
Swan Song: th-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/w-d-xo.html (See what that grand piano can do?)
Lost In The Garden: th-cam.com/video/ZCQmSutU3uU/w-d-xo.html (Miyako handling La Campanella)
We The United - th-cam.com/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/w-d-xo.html (Recently released, the world's longest and most synchronised guitar solo, M&M play the solo simultaneously)
Judgement Day - th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html (First MV with new bassist Fami)
Epilogue - th-cam.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/w-d-xo.html (The power ballad to end all power ballads)
Edge Of The World - th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html (Ditto)
Break The Wall - th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html (Slayeresque trash with contrasting guitar soli)
Glory To The World - th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html (An anthem of epic proportions)
Dancing With The Devil - th-cam.com/video/mJGgLFTPME8/w-d-xo.html (A real blues rocker with Asami enjoying herself)
Signs Of Deliverance - th-cam.com/video/ZFNrk19fKgg/w-d-xo.html (Synchronised tapping and sweeping galore)

I believe, this show was after already one year covid break in march 2021 under restrictions loke no cheering, every second seat has to be empty, masks. it also turned out to be their last show for two more years and the last one with founder, metal backbone and bassplayer miho. guitarist and keyboarder miyako was in the the second semester of her pregnancy. I was afraid, that the band could break up completely. but they found a new fantastic bassplyer, fami. finally in march 2023 they went on stage in tokyo and asami yelled: "we are back!!!!". I recommend therefore their song "the hammer of wrath" live 2023 from their official channel, which contains this historical moment. is it really surprising, that they also improved during the break? now they are lovebites 2.0!

The concert this was taken from was performed under covid restrictions which seriously curtailed the crowd interaction and I feel for the band having to perform in such subdued conditions. And just to add to their considerations Miyako, guitar and piano, is 4 and a half months pregnant at the time. Such was their determination to perform for the fans. So yes many of us are very passionate about them 😊.

Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.
    That's a great impression.
Thank you for your continued support of LOVEBITES.
Asami(Vo) has been studying classical ballet from the age of 2 to 18.
Asami (Vo) was originally an R&B and soul singer.
She had never listened to metal music at all, which she says was "music from another dimension.
Discover another of Asami's talents, having moved on from R&B and soul.
She has a wide range of belts from low to high(e5), and is able to perform them with certainty.
I have always felt that Asami is both a vocalist and an actress.
Asami can sing in a variety of ways depending on the song.
To discover Asami's true vocal talents in R&B and soul, check out the songs below.
You can then check Asami's wide-range belt from low to high frequencies.
3E Check out her songs (all live)
    "Edge of the World"
    "EPILOGUE",
    "Empty Daydream"
    And "Rising"(MV)
You can listen to a wide range of metal genres on LOVEBITES.
You can see not only Asami's singing ability, but also the breadth of her composition, lyrics, and arrangement.
At LOVEBITES' live shows, there are several songs in which Miyako plays the intro on the piano, and the intro contains a fusion of metal and classical music, as well as inspiration from classical music.

OMG... I wanted to comment on these comments here... and after the umpteenth one, I just gave up on it. Just too many. 😂 Like you say: " _Overwhelming passion and love from their fans._ " And that love and passion is absolutely justified, for Lovebites _save_ Metal, they play the best Metal possible, and they blend it with other genres, and they do it masterfully, and even spread joy and lift spirits with their skillfulness and their lyrics. Could you wish for more? Another Japanese all-female Metal band doing this is "Nemophila", but that is another story. 😉
"The sun is rising in the east", I always say, when it comes to Lovebites and Nemophila. "As in nature, so in Metal." 😊🐺💮

Thanks for reacting to LOVEBITES (The GOAT OF HEAVY METAL & ROCK MUSIC) IMHO.. This is the song THAT WILL BE HARD OR WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO COVER BY ANY BAND NOW & IN THE FUTURE because of the complexities that these talented musicians have put in the song. To see them switching from dual guitar harmonies to piano & acoustic guitar (Miyako & Midori) & the relentless pace of the rhythm section (Miho & Haruna) & to put icing on the cake the soulful, angelic voice & graceful Ballerina moves of Asami will never be able to be copy by any band. I guarantee you that. I'm a rock & roll relic like you and followed all these popular rock legends all over the world for the last 50 years (Past & Present), but everything changed when I discovered LOVEBITES 5 years ago and now I'm just happy & contented to listen to this band all the time and never gets tired of hearing their songs. This is ONCE IN A LIFETIME BAND that comes every million years, and I'm very happy to witness it during my lifetime. LOVEBITES FOREVER... Melbourne , Wolfpack.

Best and definitely most talented band on the planet right now..........period!! (P.S they all play keyboards, even Haruna (drummer)) I am older than yourself and this is without a doubt the best band I've ever heard/seen, so much talent in one band! And now the best bass player in the world (Fami) has joined the best band on the planet cmon metal bands make an effort to at least rise to making a contest of it, these overly talented ladies are wiping the floor with any other metal band around. Beauty, talent, skill no one comes close. Listen to all 65+ tracks of theirs, not one average track in their repertoire, but quite a few masterpieces. Lovebites would not be Lovebites without Asami.

Easily the best metal band on the planet today. Every player is a super star in their own right - but Miyako the dark-haired guitarist (mostly) is a virtuoso on the piano too! Asami is the stage General of the band and her voice is STUNNING… 🤘🎸🐺 What you will soon realize is Lovebites is a live band that does recordings.. all their live videos are exceptional and every one of them shows you just a little more. Try Swan Song w/Chopin intro and Hammer Of Wrath to see different faces of the band. 👍

I am a member of TWA and thought I would give this a listening, I mean I have heard how fantastic this band is. I am always fair and true to what I think when I hear something, and this is not something I want to hear again. They can play their instruments, but that´s not enough for me. There is no passion and no soul in it. I can´t rock out to beauty. It´s not bad but not over the top either. It is what I expected it to be. That´s my honest reaction but I can understand why some really like it. Your reactions are always good though and if you had not reacted to this I probably would not have listened to it at all. Thank you.
