for 16:03 and you cant get the s + shift + z to extrude like in the video, add another loop cut(ctrl + r) and put it DIRECTLY ON WHERE THE ORIGINAL LOOP CUT EXISTED. this creates more geometry for the scale to be limited to, and will give you the same results.
Nice but wouldn't it be better to use Curves with the Screw modifier then add a bevel modifier instead of using vertices. I think this adds more control. Thanks for the tutorial
