  • I've been out of action for a while due to motorcycle accident injuries, but time to start the engine removal and the long journey of fixing this bike up and hopefully bringing her back to life - Hopefully..

I am doing well, thank you for your kind words. I’ve got lots of videos already made to upload each week so a good few to come. I’m part way through the strip down. Getting there. This old girl needs saving, but the usual ‘stuck bolts’ here and there are playing havoc with her.

Hi, nice video friend, I love the old bike and I do the same hobby of you. Iou had a trouble by the exhaust nuts, I suggest you to change it by a tall brass nuts. They never will oxide in hot and cold and will be easy to remove in case. Regards Piero from Italy.

That’s a good idea, the main issue is of course stainless steel when it meets aluminium. But this was iron oxide over 40 years I guess. Thanks for the tip, I will very likely give that a try.

Old motorbike zen saying; work smarter, not harder.

Yeah I agree, the trouble is thee old girls fight you all the way, and the smart stuff goes out the window and heat and hammers take over.

@memybikeni9931 Sometimes, you just need a little persuasion.

@@barrythatcher9349 Yes that’s all it is. Last video I did was removing a tricky sheered off bolt from the lower crank case. This was a lot gentler, and smarter. Very effective. th-cam.com/video/rxVaZSMQWvc/w-d-xo.html

Nice rear shock that is not stock. Don’t you want to just find the painter and ask him to never touch another paint can again…ever…lol

Ah I didn’t know that wasn’t stock, but it’ll have to do I think.

Might as well strip the rest of the bike and respray frame and looks like you got a lot of work on your hands there chap

Yes it’s a mountain to climb, but a classic so worth the work. I’m going to be uploading regular on it now as have been out of action for a bit but have the engine all pulled apart now. The bodywork is the worst bit.

Maybe he could get the guy that painted it red and black to paint the frame…lol. And I bet he could leave the motor on…lol

You need penetration oil before you remove all those bolts..😅
