Selective enforcement against corruption is used to purge officers aligned with Xi's rivals, while equally corrupt officers aligned with Xi get installed.

China can influence the floods in India but not droughts.
The river Bramhaputra, which lies in South China and East India contains just around 20-30% of water from China. The other 70% is from the Eastern Himalayas, that's why China wants Arunachal Pradesh.

Australia has six states and two territories. South Australia gets the dregs of water from the river Murray after the cotton growers in Queensland and NSW have made dams and taken their fill. The mouth of the Murray in South Australia is usually closed and no water flushes the river. You think China is bad, Australia is complicit. The Northern Territory is selling huge water rights from the Great Artesian Basin to Chinese companies that own vast tracts of land for agribusiness. An Asian country going up against Arab or Indian countries is a death wish, as China learned when trying to fight India. Even the smallest Arab or Indian countries have more military experience than China. I'd say the exception is Philippines/Indonesia/Malaysia. They can be hardcore.

Incorrect. Mexico & the US, signed a treaty on this matter, in 1944. Annually, 1.5 million acre-feet (1.9 km3) of water from the river, are portioned to Mexico. In 1950, the Morelos Dam was completed to allow Mexico to use this share. The division of this resource, is managed by the International Boundary and Water Commission. The Commission also regulates the division of water between Mexico and the USA, from Rio Grande. If you don't believe me, just pick up your phone and ask the relevant public water authorities, in Mexico.
Conversely, China does not permit independent, foreign, or external bodies, to monitor usage/sharing of water with its neighbours.

But before that happens, you were right that Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Laos are the ones that will be greatly affected if China exaggerates this dispute since China does not have enough motivations to attack the Philippines and Taiwan since many superpower countries are protecting these two nations in the small area of the SEA nations water. • @NoirMorter

Dams are only supposed to be temporary in my opinion. I refuse to say "don't build them" since they are one of the best ways to get wealthy enough to afford better sources of power that are better for the ecology and environment. However, seeing what China is doing all over the world with debt entrapment for many nations annoys me just as much as Europe and America abusing our power.
Still, the situation of the world right now is not stable. China in its anger and arrogance is trying to indenture all or most of its neighbors but if history is any consideration then most of the Asian nations will not remain calm if it continues. Same with Ethiopia in the next half century if African nation development is of any indication.
