China vs Japan: Why Japan is Preparing for War? | Compilation
China and Japan has been driven home by a number of incidents between the two countries. For example, in January 2013 a Chinese navy vessel directed a fire-control radar at a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer. A little over a year later, in May and June 2014, two Chinese military fighter aircraft flew unusually close to Japanese military aircraft. These incidents could have led to a much wider conflagration, particularly in the absence of a crisis communications mechanism.
TL;DR Japan saw escalations in Taiwan and decided to be ready.
Not only Taiwan. China have continuously bullied multiple nations in Asia. Look what they do to the Philippian boats, trying to get resources to one of their stranded ships.
We need to be ready too, the US has a problem with its own service economy
if their GDP exceeds ours, so too can their military spending.
I dont see either of the 2 candidates we know will face off as well equipped to handle the current geopolitical situation. War is coming.
thanks, the 3 hour video above didnt give that gist
I blame the US for this.
@@forwadnothing8212 You blame the US for everything. You are obsessed with the US.
There is another country that is doing exactly the same, Poland, because of concerns about an attack from Russia.
The video is almost 3 hours, why do you just spew something out in a comment after 20 minutes? iguess im doing the same but still, perhaps watch the whole video before coming with a "take"? XD
@@RAEJDER he's not wrong though.
As a Polish citizen, I completely agree with your statement.
Japan is going to be sea Poland soon....Good for them, I hope they stay safe. China needs to stop being a huge asshole over there. >.>
Nonsense, Poles are dreaming about their empire again. As they did a couple time before.
Russia never attacked them unless Poles with Lithuania didn't start first. Then they cried in the corner.
When China says they're building high end aircraft carriers people laughed. But when Japan said their building large warships and carriers people got goosebumps.
Japane's fleet in WW2 was based on British ships and designs. And they lost against the Americans very fast. Dude there was one strong Axis power in WW2 and that was Germany. The Red Army destroyed the Kwantung Army, the same army the German Heer thrashed, thrashed the Japanese.
Japan has nukes, "helicopter ships," and a reconstituted Marine Corp training US Marines.
@@peterc4082 I'm pro US and I'm not fond of Imperial Japan but please read your history. There are battles between US and Japanese fleet that the US lost. Also Japan has both Yamato and Musashi of which are most powerful warships in WW2. And we're talking about Naval powers, which meant Japan is the most powerful if compared to Germany because Germany didn't even have aircraft carriers in WW2.
Given that Japan creates great reliable motor engines and such. It's not impossible to get shocked or get goosebumps when they tell you we got giant aircraft carriers that surpasses China's build quality ships.
@@OneClick287 Can you cite where it's impossible for Chinese to create reliable motor engines or aircraft carriers?
Chinese industrial base is many times bigger than Japan's. Also China is more advanced in some tech sectors.
You're just being racist.
I am Japanese. Japanese people and the government is concerned about China and North Korea. Also we are worried about Russia attacking us. We feel that we need to have the ability to protect ourselves in case of being attacked. We feel that we can't just rely on the US to help us if we get attacked.
That makes sense! May your peace be protected!
@@johnvicaireiii5537 ask him why they want to attack you. Also ask, why US troops are in your country. See what reply you get.
@@dashu2586 Bro nobody thiks like that anymore. The U.S. and Japan made up years ago. The U.S. will absolutely protect Japan and allow her to defend herself by building up her military again.
Can't say I blame ya when the current president of the US struggles to make a complete sentence
Then why you allow US military base on your land? It’s literally national shame
Why wouldn't it? There is a lot of bad feelings in China towards Japan since WW2, and China is overtly aggressive towards their neighbours.
ok lets ignore the fact that we have 50 u.s. bases facing china RIGHT NOW, going back 30 years
@@TQsquad Anime pfp, "opinion" ignored. Byeeee
Anyone here when Tulsi Gabbard questioned Japans loyalties and if we should treat them like an ally?
china is a paper tiger, which we kind should be happy for and not provoke to see when they act. Either way, japan is to big, so for the same reason they would not attack india, they would not attack japan, plus japan is a bunch of islands, which make it even harder. Stay neutral and they have nothing to worry about, if they would get themself involved in a war between china and taiwan then maybe.
China and Russia are both doing the same thing around their boarders. and they had similar tactics with there big company´s taking over the global market and kicking western countries and companies asses.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that in 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. I can't blame Japan for a build up. Im just glad where friends now after the second world war. I dont want to see a war at all. But i dont want to japan harmed most of all. I hope for there safety and i pray for the safety of all there people.
I agree. I'm glad Japan is one of our allies. I'm very intrigued by Japanese culture. 😍
If you are American, you should be worried. It may appear that they are building up because of North Korea, China and Russia. In reality, they still remember what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The ruling elites are dominated by the same family members of the right win parties. Decedents of the Imperialistic war criminals of World War 2. Like the rest of Asia, the everyday people may have put it behind their consciousness. The Elites never forgets. Ever heard of lying low and waiting for the right opportunity?
Yeah, im glad they are worried about the rest of asia, and not the west. Id be worried too. Asia is getting more and more worrying.
You gotta be kidding me. Get your history straight.
@@UnCommonVisionJapan is our litte puppet, do you know?
Man...its similar to what was happening couple of years before WW1...every country was building up their militaries.
Thanks
Japan decided to procure long-range missiles, but before that, the Harpoon Block 2 (GPS-guided mode) used on MSDF submarines was their longest-range anti-ground weapon, with a range of only about 200 km.
To put it bluntly, it was insane. Even the same former Axis powers, Germany and Italy, have cruise missiles, but Japan does not even have anti-radar missiles or Mavericks(anti-ground ver).
Even in the war nearly 80 years ago, missiles flew across the sea. But Japan has not had the capability to counterattack for decades. That was clearly below even the minimum capability for self-defense.
Is there any country left you didn't said "it's done" ? 😂
At this rate, even if they missed a country, rest assured they will make a melodramatic yet informative video about it at some point. It’s cheap and trashy journalism titling, but it gets the job done. We all looked, didn’t we? It’s eye catching albeit unprofessional from a previously serious and professional channel.

I like when US citizens worry about military spending... seemingly ingorant about the fact that USA spending more than the next 9(!) countries combined.
...also don't worry. China's hardware as good as Russia's. To be honest, I would still buy from Russia if I must choose from the two. It makes just even worse if they are spending a lot for it.
Being a USA citizen, I look at this as a good thing. We like to see Japan Succeed and improve. We are brothers.
We are not brothers. But Japan and the Philippines are platforms the US uses to contain the PRC. Their participation would be instrumental in supporting a conflict in Taiwan, forcing the PRC into a frontal attach while allowing us to choke off oil in the straits of Malaca.
It's pure maritime geopolitics.
But, if we had to contemplate the shape of a war, backing Japan for the time being makes sense. And they are invested in the current international order, so are strategic allies for the foreseeable future.
yes that's why when their economy was booming and threatened the US , USA destroyed it. some friend
Japan doing the same thing they did before WW2. In fact pre ww2 Japan was allied to the western powers, especially Great Britain. Look what happened after their relationship turned sour, they allied themselves with Nazi Germany then they went to war against their former allies. Japans military is no joke, glad to see their preparing and keeping an eye open on what China is doing, still I hope that war doesn’t come, so many lives are lost during it.
No joke? What experience do they have? ZERO. Japan has nice tech but on land Japan's armies were destroyed by the Red Army of Russia. So against China, they'll lose. They actually lost against the KMT.
War is here!
Ofcourse they would. They have a very dark history with the Chinese and knowing the Chinese, they hold grudges for a lifetime. The tension is still there you don’t have to be asian to feel it. They are afraid that China will want to take some sort of military revenge.
@@peterc4082 They had sent some troops in the middle east to help the US, so to say they don't have experience is wrong.
@@captainholy1558 They don't have any experience at all. And even the US has experience fighting insurgents. The only experienced Western army right now is the Ukrainian one. People with actual combat experience against a real army. Japanese don't engage in combat. To be fair China has little experience either. But they're probably willing to sacrifice more men while America will back down as soon as people arrive in coffin bags. Best for America is to focus on Europe. And sign peace with China.
The treaty stipulates that the US military will protect Japan. However, the US only provided weapons in Ukraine and did not directly intervene in the fighting. This is enough to make Japan feel a sense of crisis that it would have to fight China if it were to get involved in a war during the invasion of Taiwan.
Come on Japan is a member of Nato Ukraine isn't. It's a democracy the only reason we supported Ukraine period.
@@howardmorrow5350Japan is not a member of NATO, but the United States does have defense treaties with them. The United States has no such agreements with Ukraine.
1 the US didn’t make that same agreement with Ukraine 2 that agreement with Japan expired and Japan is free to have a military capable to reach outside its borders
The inevitable invasion of Taiwan will be staved off for another 4 years if Trump is elected. And if we could go back in a time machine and sort out all of the abnormalities that affected the 2020 election in swing states, then the invasion of Ukraine wouldn't have happened. Having such a weak president in Biden is the catalyst for this global mess.
