It's been a while since I saw a non-pretentious, non-fake person on this channel; very refreshing, and a nice contrast to the Davidoff video after this one.
Enjoyable visit by Eric with the Tweed jacket and trousers. Will you do a follow up show to show the finished result when he ships the suit out to you please.
Great video as always Kirby. One things and i'm sure you wont read this but.... Dont sacrafice what you want for what someone thinks is better. The key is in the name... "bespoke"
Kirby, didn’t you film a part where you looked through and chose the materials? Kinda feels like a part is missing, also are matching trousers being made? 👍🏻👌🏻❤️🇬🇧
Nice fitting jacket! There is a bit of pattern mismatch from the chest to the sleeve on the side where the chest was collapsing. The other side looks fine
22:40: Er, penultimate means the second-to-highest degree of something. Surely, you mean that Eric's client's remark - about forgetting that he was wearing one of Eric's suits until he came to take it off that evening - was the ULTIMATE compliment?
Fantastic color combination and i really like the silhouette of the jacket maybe a tad too tight fit for my liking. Makes Kirby look athletiic and flatters the physique. Kirby seems to be really hard to fit around the neck. In my humble enthusiast opinion the back of the collar seems to sit a bit low and the side of the neck should sit also closer to his throat. When Kirby moves the collar doesn't stay in place and the shirt collar pops out of the jacket. You can compare how Eric's collar fits and Kirby's when they stand side by side. I am sure that Maestro Jensen can fix these issues. Great video!.
What a beautiful fabric, and the trousers look great with it. I agree on the cuffs, lengthen by a 1/8 or 3/16 maybe. Is there not a risk of the heavy fabric creeping up when you have worn it for a few hours?
Hi Kirby, it's a bit different - but it would be fun for you to visit the guys at Armoury. I think they have two stores in NYC, and they also have a TH-cam channel. I would like to see you try on their stuff. Regards.
reason the left sleeve shows no cuff is (at least in part) that the watch prevents the shirt cuff from falling to exactly the same place it otherwise would
Its so funny listening to two Americans talking and sounding so natural going back and forth vs. the videos with you and anyone from England. The almost constant quick back and forth/bickering between you two vs the Proper English style of slower purposeful speaking.
While I tend to give Eric some (playful, not 100% serious) heat for some fit-related aspects on some of the tailoring he's done for Kirby in the past, I must say that I do like the extended natural shoulders on the jacket he's wearing today - even though some people surely will take offense in the collapsing upper arm area that's resulting from it. However, and that's so Italian to me, this "calculated sloppiness" gives a certain charme to the entire garment that's so hard to reproduce for tailors from other parts of the world. 👍
Personally speaking, I'm not a fan of those Shoulder Over hangs. To me, it looks slightly baggy, like he's borrowed his big brother or fathers jacket. Great colour though.
I was just thinking about one of the biggest problems that isn’t as commonly discussed with tailoring is going to the gym and trying to buy quality suits/jackets. I believe a man should fully max out his physique in the gym with weights without becoming a body builder then to buy suits once he’s reached peak condition roughly. This is so he doesn’t buy a suit only for a year or two later for it to not fit him.
Eric has great manners and natural elegance plus he explains everything so well
Agreed
The beta can’t even comprehend the sigmas words, so he screams cringe.
I always feel like I'm intruding on a date when these two get together.
Looking sharp as always.
That tweed jacket he tailored for you is magnificent! That pattern match is perfect. Eric’s suit is a thing of beauty.
The beauty of the jacket is matched by the conversation
Love the jacket cloth, adore the fit of the trousers. Eric's style rocks

Jacket and trousers are just amazing the colours match is just perfect
Eric seems like a great guy. Down to earth while having excellent skills and taste.
I love the vibe of this conversation, like you said "everything's so far along there's almost nothing to talk about"
must say, one of my favorites looking suits so far, great job!
That is the most beautiful jacket I’ve ever seen. I never considered a tweed jacket until now.
Finally some nice content among some not so interesting ones..
It's like mr Roger's but with suits instead of sweaters haha 😄 😆 😂 great video
My favorite duo
MAGNIFICENT KIRBS... WOW 👌 GORGOUS MATE!!!❤❤❤
Lovely combo - jacket & trouser/Kirby & Eric. The jacket is such a welcoming fabric.
Yep and not a suit
beautiful suit by eric
At the first fitting I thought the material was not to my taste but the final product is very beautiful!
Spot on! Would love to see you visit tailors in Italy!
Incredible cloth!
Plaid has never been my thing but I really like this one in particular
I love the fabric and color scheme of the trouser and jacket. It does look a smidge similar to the jacket that you commissioned from divij imo
Enjoyable visit by Eric with the Tweed jacket and trousers. Will you do a follow up show to show the finished result when he ships the suit out to you please.
Amazing combination!
Eric made a good decision on the color and texture of the trousers to really compliment that giacca

In defence of this as well...
I get that they are advising... But the way his suit fits and styles in a gentlemanly way is not always your style.
The spirit of Johnny Carson seems to have visited Sartorio Gallo. Heeeeeeere's Kirby!!!!!!
It’s Dallas 🎉
Beautiful fit. Great tweed. I actually have a Polo Ralph Lauren that’s a similar pattern.
Beautiful cloth!!!
This is soo good
Never saw Kirkby interrupt someone before you can just tell he was incredibly happy 😂
Kirby the people have spoken, we want the Cuba content and we want it NOW! no more secrecy!
Those shoulders and these armholes are the epitome of soft tailoring!bravo
Kirby, didn’t you film a part where you looked through and chose the materials? Kinda feels like a part is missing, also are matching trousers being made? 👍🏻👌🏻❤️🇬🇧
Kirby somehow acquired the cloth somewhere else, so it wasn't a tailor's recommendation. This is a sport coat, so its a stand alone piece.
@@richarddr1234 cheers mate
Excellent info....❤❤

Looks great

22:40 “The *penultimate* complement” 😂 come on Kirby not again
You mean "compliment" here, surely?
@@RickDeckard6531 alright u got me there

SAGE GREEN.......😂😂😂 FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤

Your suits are very special. How much does a suit range in price and brand name?
Watch his videos and you will learn. The talior's name is in the title of the video.

The Lions Paw is alive and well 🤝
If your sleeves ride up, when your arms are outstretched, then surely they are too short?
What watch is Eric wearing in this? Looks gorgeous.
Looks like a Cartier Tank.
Yes if you google vintage 'must de Cartier' tanks it's the one with regular numbers and the date instead of the three from what I can tell. Ref 2413
@@Konsaliki thanks
@@tompope6522 Thank you
Looking at a full three button maybe 2.5 max: "so this is a three roll two"
Great in general but it seems the lapel pattern matching looks a bit off. It did not match the collar nor the front panels of the jacket.

Eric’s suit is the best thing in the video
The jackett seems a tad short and tight
Let's see Paul Allen's tweed jacket.
DEAR KIRBS, why dont they provide you a mirror with bespoke??? 😊
I know cutting and sewing
At suit you wear look good as a three piece suit
Ultimate, not penultimate. Penultimate means second to last.
Pattern matching on his right sleeve to body seems off. Left arm is better.
They adress it around 13:00.
Make sure the bill is payed KIRBY or you will end up with a horse head in your bed baby!!!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤😊😊😊😮😮😮
Personally speaking, I'm not a fan of those Shoulder Over hangs. To me, it looks slightly baggy, like he's borrowed his big brother or fathers jacket. Great colour though.
I prefer the shoulders slightly loose so you get ease of movements of the arms without it looking too tight when you lift them
It's an American signature.
Dont italians iorn their suits...??? 😮😮😮😊😊😊
The ads are getting ridiculous now. Content is great but ads are making it unwatchable.
Just get TH-cam premium man, I've never looked back since, totally worth it

Eric's jacket looks very ill-fitting and sloppy. Maybe try again on the green. OUCH! Kirby is trashing that jacket.
Sorry but the tailor’s shoulders are a mess
Roped sleeves are hideous, personal opinion mind, I feel the more minimal the details the more elegant the jacket is.
Right arm is off.
I do not like that jacket Eric is wearing
